      This company is ran extremely poorly. They oversell their warranty and inspections. They do not provide full detailed issues with vehicles. Make sure you know about your vehicle and sign a release after inspection yourself.Veritas Global protection is a joke. Make sure the fully explain that they do not have to follow the state law for wording of failed parts. Per **** and state law, my vehicle should be covered. Shift never called to discuss my issues

      The worst company ever . We bought a car from their ******* office returned it 3 days later due to mechanical issues. They then proceeded to send ** to collections for a car they have in their possession. Their ********** Dr said it would be taken care of and here we are. Complete fraud & horrific business practice. They should be shut down , or charged with illegal business practices. This is unacceptable playing with peoples credit & sending collection companies after someone for something they dont even own . Disgusting , I hope BBB shuts them down .

      Would give 0 stars if I could.So first of all this review has nothing to do with shift as a dealer I had a pretty smooth experience with them. This review is specifically for the ******* ******************** employees including the General Manager. Im not going to post names. I brought my car that I bought from them the previous year in for work to be done under my warranty which I thought had to be done at their facility. They diagnosed my vehicle having a bad transmission and said they were going to order one and replace it. My car was there for two weeks as expected and on the day of pickup I call to get confirmation that my car is done and I am informed by text an hour before they close that my car was not in fact done but also that they have not even received the new transmission. Not a single update in that two week period. Fast forward another week, no updates and cars still not fixed. Fast forward another week, no updates and ** being told they have no idea what to do with my car. At this point its been there almost 2 months. I offered to take it to another shop to get diagnosed and I could bring their findings to Shift so they can fix it. All in all it took over 2 months and me taking my car to a ****** dealership to get diagnosed as 2 bad ignition coils and 4 bad spark plugs. They put in a (used) newer transmission for something ****** called a simple tune up. Not to mention they promised to cover my car payment, insurance, & lost income from not having my car for 2 months and to this day I have yet to see that check yet Im told its coming. I have since been told that the service manager who oversaw my car and failed to give me any update unless I called for one in over 2 months has been removed from the facility. It also took almost a week after getting my car back to receive any records of what was done to the vehicle. Major incompetence is present in this office all the way up to the General Manager.

      I sold my Tesla to shift. They requested basic documents be uploaded such as my driver's license, title and registration. I received their quote within 2 days. I drove to the nearest Shift store. Their representative was courteous and knowledgeable. All documents were signed and completed via docusign in less than an hour. The agreement was that funds would be direct deposited into my account within 10 business days assuming the car passed inspection, with the stipulation that they had 3 days to refuse the transaction and return the car if it did not pass inspection or had been misrepresented. There were no further communications from shift. On the 6th business day the funds were transferred as agreed. While I would agree that their web site and phone communication are not great they are similar to *****'s. If you need anything you go to the store and they take good care of you. I was referred by a friend and they had a similar very good experience.

      I went to purchase a car from Shift on the word-of-mouth advertising by a fellow co-worker. He had said the process was quick and pretty painless and so I figured I'd try them out. They have a great selection (so it seems) and decent pricing (again, so it seems). So I tried getting a ****** Camry hybrid at first, but no one over at Shift could give me any straight answers about how the financing process would work and for me to just go at it on my own to figure things out, and so I did. This caused me to lose out on the original car I wanted figuring out things that they should have known (they do this job everyday). This is my first time getting a loan and so I am not privy to how these things work. If I worked for a car dealership, perhaps I would, like I figured they would have. Their front desk reps are there to just collect payment from what it seems like? After getting things squared away with my bank for the loan, I was able to find another car I wanted. It was a ***** Accord hybrid and that was priced a little over KBB value (like $2000 over). But they're a dealership and what are you gonna do, ya know? Not enough characters to use here.       So I havent purchased a car from Shift but I will say that they have cars at every price point you could think of even with the shortage of used cars. However, as I was getting ready to start a purchase I saw that there was $250 non refundable fee at first I was like okay thats fine if I dont get a approved then I should be able to use it towards another car. But I was wrong, something told me to look more into this fee and it turns out its non refundable and non transferable, and the real knee slap is that you pay the fee before you find out whether or not you get officially approved for the car. So basically if you dont get approved for the car then youre out $250. I have never heard of a dealer take a fee or deposit before approval, and this one is non refundable or non transferable, this is really weird and seems scammish.

      DO NOT BUY FROM SHIFT! I purchased a vehicle from Shift on July 13, 2021, and paid in full on the same day. Thirteen months later, I have yet to receive the title because the car is still in the lienholder's name, which is ***************************. The current vehicle registration, which is in my name, proves this. I have called and emailed Shift on multiple occasions over the past year to address this but to no avail. They ignore all emails, and whenever I call to explain the situation to a Shift customer service rep, they tell me they have no info. Now I'm preparing to take legal action. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere.

      From a behind the scenes this company has played people and never been true to what they say . Fired 10 people in a day just to go spend money on furniture for the hub . Fired people due to schedules ( school , kids /family ) . Personal experience: from being on the inside as a former employee I got accused of stealing money from multiple managers but they refused to give me the accusation in writing and still to this day never heard an apology or anything Hires young people so they can manipulate them so they dont say anything about the abuse of employees , constant harassment , unresolved issues , and accusations with no communication all point fingers

      I've actually been satisfied with the vehicle I purchased from Shift. It's a 2014 VW CC turbo, runs and looks great. My issue is with the 2 salesman who came out to deliver the vehicle. The sales process was smooth, the guys were friendly and I had no issues with them throughout the transaction. My problem came after they left. About 1.5 hours after the purchase was complete I received a notification from my bank that my credit card had just been charged for $76 worth of wings and other food items at a place I've never eaten. I'd never experienced a fraudulent transaction coming up on any of my cards before and I couldnt figure out how someone could have gotten my card information. Then I remembered....the main salesman who spent most of the time talking to me had stepped out of the car for a smoke and I stupidly stepped out with him for a vape---leaving my wallet in the center console of my new vehicle and my credit card (which Shift had required to pay for some part of the purchase) sitting out by itself. Thats the exact card that was used. Oddly enough, the particular chain where the food was purchased from had a restaurant about 2 miles from the Shift dealership. Of course, I could never prove any of this (the food purchase had been done over the phone and they picked it up at an alternate location) but I believe 100% it was the two salesmen. My reason for writing this....keep an eye on your wallet and cards when you're dealing with very friendly, outgoing salespeople at "Shift-y" when they come out. When youre doing the paperwork in the car, getting caught ** in the transaction, t's easy to let your guard down in those moments and they know it.
