I am writing to formally demand a full refund of ?******* that Domestika unlawfully charged me for an unwanted "Domestika Plus" membership, which was enrolled without my clear and informed consent. This deceptive practice violates the Republic Act No. 7394, also known as the Consumer Act of the ***********. Specifically, Title III, Chapter VI of the Act addresses false and misleading advertising and sales promotion of consumer products. This law aims to protect consumers from deceptive, unfair, and unconscionable sales practices. Factual Background Misleading Course Enrollment Process:On May 22, 2025, I subscribed to a Domestika course advertised at PHP ?58.01.During checkout, Domestika failed to clearly disclose that I would be automatically enrolled in a PHP ?*******/year "Domestika Plus" membership. The membership enrollment was either hidden in fine print, presented as a pre-checked opt-in, or otherwise not conspicuously discloseda classic "dark pattern" designed to trick consumers.Unauthorized Charge:About 44 days after purchasing the course, I was charged PHP ?******* for Domestika Plus without my explicit consent.I did not intend to subscribe to this membership, and Domestikas failure to obtain my informed consent renders this charge fraudulent.Domestika did not even provide a receipt of what they have charge my bank.Initial Complaint

I purchased a single course from Domestika through a ******** ad, using ******. The course was advertised at a low promotional price. A month later, I was charged $179 USD for a Domestika Plus annual subscription I did not knowingly ************ no point during checkout was it clearly stated that I was enrolling in a subscription or free trial. I received no warning or reminder email before the charge something that is both expected and legally required in many regions for auto-renewing subscriptions.I have contacted Domestika multiple times to request a refund and explanation. They have not responded. Ive also discovered that many others have had the same experience, being charged $179, $235, or even $329 without clear consent, often after buying just one discounted course.Additionally, Domestika currently advertises the same Plus subscription for under $90 USD, meaning I was charged more than double what others are paying.I believe this business practice is deceptive and unfair. I am requesting a full refund of $179 USD, the cancellation of the subscription tha I never agreed to, and that Domestika be held accountable for these billing tactics.Tracking number is from ******Initial Complaint

Domestika is an online course app. You can purchase courses for .99 which I have done for years. Apparently somewhere in small print they tell you you will be subscribed for a year after a free trial-none of that is clear AT ALL! They charged me $329 today. I cant reach any people at the company and I have tried multiple ways. . I have looked on platforms and this is a practice of theirs to bill these subscriptions unknowingly. My story is 100s of others peoples stories. I would know if I were signing up for a subscription and I had no idea. I dont even have enough money for food because of this charge. I am sick to my stomach.Initial Complaint

On May 15, 2025, I purchased a course on Domestika for 0.99. I was not clearly informed that this would activate a 30-day free trial of Domestika Plus with automatic renewal. After briefly checking the course and realizing it wasnt suitable for my needs, I logged out of the platform and did not return. On June 15, 2025, Domestika charged my ****** account $345.33 USD for an annual subscription I neither wanted nor used. I immediately canceled both the subscription and the automatic payment within minutes of receiving the notification, without using any of the subscription services.Domestika refuses to refund the charge, citing their terms and conditions, despite my immediate cancellation and lack of usage.I am requesting a full refund of $345.33 USD, as this was a charge I did not knowingly authorize, and I did not benefit from the service.Supporting documents available:****** charge confirmation.Subscription cancellation ****************** correspondence with Domestika.I hope BBB can help resolve this unfair and misleading situation.Initial Complaint

To Whom It May Concern,I am filing this complaint against Domestika, based in ********, **********, regarding their deceptive trial subscription and refusal to refund an unauthorized charge of $200.I signed up for a free trial subscription with Domestika, but I was never notified prior to the trial ending or that I would be automatically charged. There was no reminder or clear disclosure of auto-renewal terms before charging my account.I contacted ******************** immediately after the charge to cancel the subscription and request a refund. Despite multiple emails and attempts to reach customer support over several months, ******************** has ignored all communications and refused to issue a refund. This behavior violates California Business and Professions Code Section *****, which requires companies to provide clear disclosure and timely reminders before automatically renewing subscriptions. Domestikas failure to do so constitutes unfair and deceptive business practices.I request the BBBs assistance in resolving this matter by facilitating a full refund and ensuring Domestika complies with consumer protection laws in the future.Thank you for your attention to this complaint.Initial Complaint

On July 1, 2025 I was surprised by an unauthorized auto payment for a yearly subscription to Domestika for $329.00. I did not sign up for a yearly subscription to Domestika Pro nor did I authorize them for payment for said subscription through ******. There are no invoices because I never signed up for the Domestika Pro account. I disputed the charge, cancelled the subscription and they are basically telling me I did sign up and I didn't. NO record of this transaction is on their site or via email to me. Nothing.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am submitting a complaint about a misleading and unauthorized charge by the online platform Domestika. On May 23, 2024, I purchased three online courses from ***** under order C37361035T24018503. These were standalone courses that dont require a subscription. However, I later discovered that a 30-day free trial of Domestika Plus was automatically included, without my request or informed consent. After the trial, I was charged *** $72,900 for a yearly subscriptionorder C38059137T24453543using the same card.I was not made aware of this subscription or given any proper warning. The free trial was silently added to my cart at $0. The only way to avoid the charge was to cancel manuallyyet I didnt even know I was subscribed.I only noticed in May 2025, when they tried to charge me again, this time $129 USD. I then realized Id unknowingly been subscribed for a year.I believe Domestika uses deceptive practices, relying on hidden subscriptions and user inattention. This is unethical and should be investigated. When submitting this complaint online, I was unable to enter my postal code. If needed, my full address is:****************************************************************************************************************** Postal Code: ******* I respectfully request:A full refund of the *** $72,900 Cancellation of any Domestika Plus subscriptions on my account Sincerely,***** ***** *************Initial Complaint

Dear *** or Madam,I am writing to kindly request assistance regarding unfair commercial practices employed by the company Domestika, which offers online courses. I am acting on behalf of my wife, who, due to health issues, is unable to handle this matter herself. On February 11, 2025, my wife purchased an online course on the Domestika platform at a promotional price of PLN 3.99. During the finalization of the transaction, without her explicit consent, a "Domestika Plus" subscription was automatically added to the cart. After the 30-day free trial period, this subscription resulted in a charge of PLN ****** to my payment card. My wife did not notice this information, as it was written in small print.I would like to emphasize that, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, specifically Article 22, a trader must obtain the explicit consent of the consumer for any additional payment beyond the remuneration agreed upon for the main contractual obligation. Any additional charges must not be pre-ticked or automatically included the consumer must actively agree to ******* my wife's case, there was no explicit consent for the subscription, which constitutes a violation of the above directive. I consider this to be misleading and unfair conduct, and the charged amount is unjustified.I attempted to contact Domestika, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution or a refund. Therefore, I kindly ask for your support in pursuing my rights and recovering the wrongfully charged amount.I am attaching proof of purchase, confirmation of the charge, and screenshots from the Domestika platform showing, among other things, how the ************ is presented during ************ can also find comments from other misled customers on this website:*********************************************************** Sincerely,******** SipInitial Complaint
