1 starI am a professional that uses the ************ have been with them for years, but now I convinced they are just money hungry. I pay $35 for the app every ********** also being charged $50 everytime one of my clients books through this app. They prey on professionals by taking money from they **** the think they are sending you clients when theyre not! 2 starsThe Style seat platform appears to impose significantly higher costs on the customer. Stylists seemingly pass on all extra charges and additionally charge more than the advertised costs by removing deposits, yet still charging the advertised costs at checkout. 1 starI booked appointment for silk press with this stylist. On morning of appointment, after taking care of my 85yr mom (dementia) and preparing to leave for appointments, she text me (says she called, but I dont answer unknown callers) she text to move my appointment (her previous appointment was late so I had to be inconvenienced) I explained I had another appointment later and that it would not be possible, Saturday would be better she offered 7A (wtf) I countered with 8A but afterwards within the hour I decided I didnt want her to do it at all. So I cancelled. She agrees and than charges full amount of service $120 + $18 tip + $60 cancellation fee for no service at all. I was sure it was a mistake so I text and she sends bulletin points on her policies for cancellations! Worse customer service ever!!! $200 dollars debited for services cancelled!! I could not get any help no phone number to call just email. Nightmare!!! But I have reached out to style seat for help no response.Review fromKADEESHA H

I had an appointment, professional never showed for time. Rescheduled, still showed up early and still had to wait. Styleseat professionals do go by your time, but theirs. Get everything in writing and on the app because the stylist will lie. I have screen shots and photos. ******** ******, is not good for business.StyleSeat

I scheduled an appointment with a nail tech through Style seat. Turns out the nail tech did not show up and I charged for the service for canceling at the last minute I reached out to the nail tech to request a refund and got no response responded to the nail tech for a refund no response! Very unprofessional and style seat not making sure the client received the service before charging is so tacky and unprofessional. I just want my money back! Never booking thru this site againStyleSeat

Hi Rida! Thanks for sharing your feedback. StyleSeat charges a one-time fee for each new client brought to you through our New Client Connection Program. If any of your clients are ever mistakenly marked as new clients from StyleSeat, you can click the link in the appointment details that says "New Client from StyleSeat" and then choose "Request a Correction" and a member of our Support team will be happy to resolve this for you.
Additionally, since you're on our Premium Plan, you have the flexibility to opt out of this feature at any time in your settings.

My daughter book an appointment with unprofessional hairstylist which her policy states I will only be charged a $2 hold for the appointment. The hairstylist policy simply states :You will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment starts. Otherwise, you will be charged 25% of service price for cancelling with less than 24 hours notice and 50% if you fail to show up at your appointment. The very next day in the morning I was charged $190, plus $2 hold!!! The hairstyle my daughter picked was only supposed to be $160!!! On top of that the hairstylist acted clueless about the charges and I told my daughter to cancel. After that my daughter informed her to cancel, the hairstylist didnt even refund my money back!! I been fighting for months to get my money back. Months later I even tried to let her realize I still need my money back and she told me to take it up with style seat!!! I wish I did it the same month after she refused to refund my money!! I tried to get my money back by my bank and still I been having issues!!! Styleseat states that you have to reachout to the stylist 1st before reaching out to them. Not nothing I will be going through months later!!!StyleSeat

As they mentioned in their correspondence, we are unable to proceed with a refund for this late-cancellation fee, as it was charged correctly under the No-Show/Late Cancellation policy we offer Pros to use for their business. However, our team did extend a discount that could be used for a future appointment to help make up for this experience.

Unfortunately, I found out on the day of the appt that my stylist moved from ** to ** which is over 40 minutes away, specially during rush hour. I would like to ask for my $66 deposit back since I was unaware of the move prior to scheduling my appointment. Unfortunately, theres no way to do that via their site or they do not have a customer service request line.StyleSeat

I have an Issue with my Payouts on the Style seat platform. I was told to submit a 147C form, and I did. My account is still suspended. I will have to close my business, due to the lack of communication of this platform. I think it's really disheartening to know they don't have a customer service number, where I can speak with an actual person. I would like my funds released, and my account closed permanently. This is the worst; experience I have ever had.StyleSeat
