Date of work: 11/19/22 -Amount paid: $550 -What business committed: Hang Christmas lights -Dispute: Did not finish the job -Has business tried to resolve problem? No I paid for Christmas light hanging on Sat 11/19/22 & Squeegee didnt finish the job and they never came back to finish. ***** arrived more than an hour after the end of the appointment time ************************* stayed for about 6 ************* finish putting up the lights. (In past years, it took less than 2 hours to hang all the lights).Two hours after ***** arrived, he had not hung a single light. He said that he was planning how to connect them, despite me clearly explaining & even showing him pictures. Later, he left saying he needed to get supplies from *********** I provided all the extension cords & clips, so Im not sure why he left. When he finally came back, he said he didnt have a nail gun & would need to come back the following Monday to finish the work. He used black tape to simply tape the lights. I didnt want to pay until the job was done but he insisted his boss wouldnt let him leave until I paid & promised he would come back to finish on Mon. I sent the amount that ***** told me to pay to ************************* on Venmo & talked to the manager via phone about the price which had unexpectedly more than doubled since the past 3 years I used Squeegee to hang lights. The manager claimed I was mistakenly given a coupon price for the past 3 years. I informed the manager via phone, text message at **************, & on Venmo that the job was not done & ***** said hed return on Mon 11/21/22 to finish. When I didnt hear anything on Mon & no one showed up, I contacted Squeegee & was told to call the next day to schedule a time. I called the next day & continued texting and calling Squeegee for more than a week and no one returned my phone calls or texts. To date, the job has not been finished. The lights are not all hung up & the ones they did hang are falling down because the tape didnt hold.
