I am writing to address the ongoing delay in receiving my reimbursement from Ascent Funding for the software engineering bootcamp loan serviced during my enrollment at Springboard.I setup a recurrent payment via my bank on 08/29/2022 to pay the loan in full before the first due date and on 09/07/2023 the loan was paid in full. Upon successfully completing my studies and meeting the criteria outlined in Springboard's job guarantee program, the loan in question was rightfully canceled. However, I have yet to receive the promised refund of $13,503.53.I made 5 phone calls since October 2023. Despite persistent inquiries, clarity regarding the status of my refund remained elusive and the date of the refund has been repeatedly revised. No documentation substantiating these assurances was provided, and my appeal to escalate the matter to a managerial level was rebuffed. The closure of my account post-payment has hindered my ability to track the reimbursement process effectively.I urge you to expedite the resolution of this matter and I request access to pertinent documentation supporting the provided assurances. Please treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.Thank you.******************Business Response

I recently received a notification that a student loan for $25,000 was taken out with me as a ********* on behalf of a *********************** ( a person I do not know and have never heard of). This was a clear case of fraud, and I am shocked and disappointed that Ascent Funding does basically no due diligence to verify ********* loan applications and now it's on me to go through a lengthy drawn out process to get this loan off my credit report and off of the Ascent system. There was no requirement for signature, most of the information on the application was not accurate and would have taken minutes to verify. How is it this easy to apply for a student loan fraudulently under someone else's name? Shame on Ascent for their *** security process. I would like for Ascent to take steps to cancel this loan and remove this from my credit report immediately.Business Response
