      ***** BRETTHAUER WAS BROUGHT IN BY MY CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL PLANS FOR REPAIRS AND RENOVATIONS ON MY HISTORIC PROPERTY IN MAY 2024 , HE WAS PAID $2500 BY CHECK AT HIS REQUEST AT THE TIME OF SIGNING THE CONTRACT. HE DIDNOT RESPOND TO PHONECALLS AND REQUESTS TO PROVIDE DRAWINGS AND ANY INTERACTIONS HE HAD WITH THE HISTORIC COMMISSION REGARDING THE PLANS, TILL I REQUESTED A REFUND AND TERMINATION OF CONTRACT IN OCTOBER 2024. ON 10/7/2024 HE SENT ME AN EMAIL ATTACHMENT OF DRAWINGS HE HAD DONE . HE WAS TO HAVE SUBMITTED IT TO THE CITY FOR A BUILDING PERMIT WHICH HE SAID HE HAD DONE . EARLY THIS YEAR I CONTACTED THE HISTORIC COMMISSION AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO APPLICATION MADE FOR THE PERMIT AND NO COMMUNICATION WITH THEM -LAST BEING EMAILS BY ***** BRETTHAUER TO THEM IN JUNE 2024.HE HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY PHONECALLS OR MY CONTRACTORS PHONECALLS AND I HAVE NO HARD COPIES OF THE PLANS WHICH WERE TO BE DRAWN UP.

      I made the mistake of contracting ***** Bretthauer to work on a remodeling project for my home in April 2024 and it has been nothing but fraud and a headache. He was eager to get me to sign a contract and pay him a deposit for the work, then he disappeared before the work even began. He was unresponsive for weeks and when we would finally schedule a meeting to begin discussing his plans for the remodel, he would cancel last minute. For the most part, he was non-responsive to calls, text messages, and emails and required multiple attempts to contact him in order to get him to respond. We became to exasperated that we decided to go with a different company. When I requested that ***** refund me the fees for the work he did not complete, he agreed to do so but explained that he did not have the total amount of the funds and would need to pay be back gradually. It has been 7 months since he said he would pay me back and, over that time, I have had to contact him various times to get him to make payments. He continues to owe me money but he has now gone unresponsive for months.
