I purchased 2 sets of their main product. Because there are variations of their product with different part numbers, I followed the instructions on their website. These are aftermarket parts ostensibly designed to work with specific models of existing firearms. On their website, they state: "If you possess a...Armalite...purchase this standard length shaft version." (10 additional supported brands are also listed, but are omitted here for brevity). The description then says, "If you possess....please use our shorter shaft length Gen 4 AR10 product" and lists 13 other products which require the alternate, shorter shaft length. Based on these explicit instructions I purchased two of the standard length gen4 maglocks, as I was installing them on Armalites. After receiving them I attempted to install one, but discovered that the shaft was too long. After installing the first item, I saw that the item did not function as claimed and instead of making the firearm compliant with CA state law, it allowed the firearm to continue to function normally in violation of CA law. (Their entire business model is predicated on the fact that this product makes firearms CA compliant). I had to spend an hour grinding the steel shaft to shorten and reshape it to get it to work properly. contacted them via email and was told that I should have purchased the shorter shaft. I pointed out that their website information was erroneous, and asked them to exchange the remaining, unused item in original sealed packaging for the correct part for an Armalite AR10. They advised that I would have to pay for the return shipping, as well as the shipping of the replacement, and I would have to wait until they received the return and verified it before they would mail the replacement at my expense.
