I am writing to file a complaint against Digit Design studio.Concerning a website development ********** July 2024, I entered into an agreement with them to develop a website for a total cost of $550. After payment, the company demanded an additional $1,000 for hosting services, which was not part of our original agreement. I offered to pay $200 for hosting, reflecting standard market rates, but the company refused and has not delivered the promised services.I believe this constitutes deceptive business practices and a breach of contract. I was dissatisfied with the lack of customer service ********************************************* was providing and ended up outsourcing a new website elsewhere. In March 2022, I purchased a logo from Digit Design Studios (DDS) on a special they were advertising. After the logo was completed, they stated in order for me to own the logo, I would have to have it trademarked or it would always belong to them and I wouldn't be able to freely use it. I told them that none of that was advertised in the purchase process. I paid for the trademark on Mar 17, 2022, in the amount of $804 for legal fees and trademark processing. The trademark (**) was submitted, but not completed. On Mar 29th, I requested ***** to provide with the *****# and documents showing that the ** was submitted along with the date and information that was submitted. On April 4th, I informed ***** that I spoke with the ***** and was told that the application was submitted on 31 Mar and digitally signed on 1 April. I have a huge issue with this, as I was not asked nor did I sign any documents. I asked who forged my signature on a government document? The fee charged and received was $350 for the application according to the records filed with *****. I was told by your company that I was not being overcharged, but only being charged the fee that the ***** office charges. When I questioned the high price when ***** website only showed the amount as $350, I was told that I had multiple marks, and needed to be charged more. The marks quoted and the amount charged was also different as I was charged more than quoted. The application also shows ******************************* which is not my email address. All correspondence from ***** was sent to the outlook email. Since that time they have been constantly calling me requesting additional money to finalize the **. I refused to give any additional money and requested the ** be processed at the original agreed upon amount. The ** was never fully processed. DDS has continued to call me requesting additional money and telling me that I need to cease from using my logo, because it belongs to them.Initial Complaint

I paid Digit Design Studios $1,072 for a website and 10 years of hosting, I have uploaded the paid invoice for the services. During the process of designing the website, I was pressured by the company to pay $1,700 in order to make the website ADA ********** When I told them that I did not want this service they became upset and acted like they did not want to continue working on the website. This turned me off so I did not call them back for several months. I called them this week to get working on the website and they told me in order to keep working on it I would have to pay them $450 to reactivate my account and to do the work which they were already paid to do. After arguing with them for a while, they lowered the amount to $200. I do not feel that I should have to pay this amount because I have already paid them for a service, which they will not do unless I pay them more money. When I asked for a refund, they told me that was not possible because the funds had already been used.Last night I checked Yelp reviews on the company, which had 27 reviews, all 1 star (the lowest rating possible). Every single review stated the same thing, that they take peoples money for the work, then continue with more and more charges before they actually do the work which they were paid to do in the first place. The majority of comments mentioned that this company is a scam which I am in total agreement with.Initial Complaint

I called DDS for a logo. I was upsold from the $59 offer advertised to a $283 unlimited logo designs Platinum Package. I paid $803 for the Start-Up Website. No further costs mentioned. The next contact, I was told I needed to pay $1500 for a Lifetime Domain Registration so the project could be completed. Next, I was told I had to pay a further $965 for protection to receive payments on my website. Then they said that before anything could be built for me, I needed to pay $1340 for hosting, because they couldn't work on the website unless it had a "home." Next, they said I needed to pay another $700 so that I could have access to my website. I refused to pay for this as I had been assured no further money was needed. Alarm bells went off in my head. The weird behaviors didn't add up. 3 different project managers were assigned to me, the first 2 leaving for bizarre reasons (grandmother's death, girlfriend's miscarriage). Every person had the exact accent - as if the same person was pretending to be someone else. I was promised stationery, letterhead, unlimited logo designs, 24/7 tech support, SEO optimaztion strategies, lifetime hosting and domain registration, a website that I'd have access to and could totally revamp at any time, as many times as I wanted, for infinity, hence the higher charges. I spent $4,891 and have received nothing from DDS. My website is Divorce Blessings and it doesn't exist. The logos that were presented to me were generic. The billing statements had different names: Innovative Animations, ********************************* Design ***************** **** I repeatedly asked for written confirmation of the details for what I had purchased, but have never received them. I attempted to resolve this with DDS, but was told by ***********************, a manager that I was no longer a client. He said "No one held a gun to your head to hire us" and "I assure you that you'll never get your money back, you can take that to the bank" and hung up on me. Please help.Initial Complaint

I purchased a logo from them on January 19th. Everything was going very smoothly i was working on getting my logo finalized. Once it was finalized it came to me very small and i had asked before i paid for it i asked them if it had a refund policy. **** told me yes they have a 30 day money back guarantee. I told **** that was my designer that i wanted to use my 30 day money back guarantee. He told me i can not because it is has already been finalized. They are a untruthful business and are stealing money from people. They told me my logo would be done in 48 hours so i still had 28 days to be unsatisfied with my logo but they will not let me use that. I also was told tht my logo would be able to be used on my website but contacted my website provider to add it and it is way too small for them to use it.Initial Complaint

I initially got logo design and extended the service for website development and paid them what they asked. I got a call and ask me for CRM and I said I would think and they offered a 30-day money-back guarantee for $1500. They charged my card and I asked them for a refund they said they will send me a within few days. I have email confirmation for a refund, I have SMS confirmation. I created a dispute with my credit card company initially, they said please remove the dispute as it can affect their business and they have refunded the money. I agreed and removed the dispute. It's been almost 6 months I am not seeing a refund. !st of all they have charged me $150 for Tax on $1500 which itself Is not correct. I don't think this company pays taxes to the government. I have never seen and even number for ** tax.
