Mr. Adesuyan,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with your program progress.
Review of your program confirmed that Beyond Finance has secured two resolutions that were approved by you. One of them has been fully paid and is completed and the other is in progress. Additionally, we have extended several conditional offers on your **************** account. Given the status of this account, it has taken priority in the resolution process.
Rest accrued that Beyond Finance is providing you with our best effort in reaching offers for you. Records indicate that we have made several efforts to reach you to discuss your program, but have been unsuccessful in connecting with you. Should you still have outstanding questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I was contacted last May by a "debt consolidation company" who claimed I would be debt free in ***** months. I was interested in learning more so I agreed to a phone call. The agent was *****************. After the phone call I did enroll however the agent did not provide me with all the information. He was a "great sales person " and told me to just sign the papers which I did. I have paid them over $3000 and have little to show for it. I want my $900+back in 'Settlement fees' since the debt has not been settled. They did contact two accounts and get numbers of dollars they would accept but only made one payment less than 30 days ago. I was totally misled and the company is targeting people desperate to get out of debt. I did cancel my account and told them i did not authorize them to take any more money from my bank account. I spoke to a supervisor but was angry i didn't get her name. She also told me my representative from the beginning was Azdul which i don't recognize at all. Probably a foreign country person using an American name but i did notice an accent in all the times i talked to him. Please help me out by getting my "Settlement fees" returned since they did not settle my agreement. They also answered the phone as ************** which is not the name used when I signed my agreement on line. I asked for a company but never received it. When I asked again ***** told me he was very honest and told everything I needed to know, saying it was too many pages to print.Business response

Ms. *********,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you have experienced.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on June 18, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11 (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor."
This fee was clearly disclosed during your enrollment interaction and is in alignment with industry standards and regulations. Additionally the fees related to your dedicated account were disclosed and are also included in your Enrollment Agreement.
Also covered in the same section in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer" is information about credit impact. It reads, in part, as follows:
"The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness..."
Review of your enrollment interaction confirmed that our agent was clear that you were not being offered a loan at the time of enrollment. Review of your welcome call confirmed that you were informed you may be eligible for review for a loan through a company we partner with in the future, but it was clear this was not a guarantee.
We are hopeful that we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Beyond Finance, LLCCustomer response

the sales department and support team continuously expressed that if payments were made regularly for 6 months, that there would be approval for a loan to expedite the debt consolidation program. Their representation of the facts were clearly misleading and at no time did they express that the loan would be contingent on other financial matters.
Their staff and representatives completely mislead and coerce them clients into a false sense of this loan availability.

Ms. *********,
Thank you for the continued opportunity to address your concerns.
We regret if there was any miscommunication, however review of your enrollment interactions confirmed that the possibility of a loan was presented to you appropriately. At no time was a guarantee made that you would be approved for a loan.
Rest assured that your program is reviewed frequently to determine if you meet the criteria to be eligible to be considered for the loan option. In the meantime, please know that Beyond Finance will continue to service your program and strive to achieve outstanding results for you.

I was enrolled in their settlement program and paid the amount in full in October 2023. In March of 2024, without any warning or notification, Beyond took an additional $718 from my checking account for fees. They have been unable to substantiate the fees or tell me if other fees will be taken out.Business response

Ms. Quatrino,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you have experienced.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on November 19, 2019. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about how and when program fees are earned can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Settlement Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"Settlement fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a settlement on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the settlement, and (iii) the first payment of that settlement is made to the creditor."
The fee references was earned in relation to your Lending Point arrangement. We regret if there was any misunderstanding from your conversation with the agent in October regarding the status of your program. As a courtesy we will waive the remainder of the fee owed and process your program for graduation. We are hopeful this will be a satisfactory resolution to your concerns.
Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

I sent beyond finance $12,000 to pay off all the credit cards. This was a month ago. I asked them to pay off my credit cards immediately instead, what are they doing? By the end of March they will have taken out $2200 in fees for themselves and paid $200 on my credit cards. When I complained about this, they keep saying trust the process, trust the process. I dont trust the process they have got the money to pay off my credit cards and yet they continue to take money out of my checking account every month and they are not paying off my credit cards with all the money that I sent them. do I need to file a lawsuit to get them to move on this?Business response

Mr. *********,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns, we apologize for any frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with the process of paying off your existing settlements. Rest assured that we are actively working on accomplishing this goal for you. Your success in the program is our biggest concern and paying off arrangements outside of the established cadence requires us to connect with your creditors and advise them of change. This can sometimes feel like a lengthy process, and we regret that, but we want to ensure there are no issues with any of your arrangements.
We will schedule to have an agent reach out to you to discuss any remaining concerns you have, but rest assured we are working towards this goal for you.
Sincerely,

Beyond finance set me up in their debt settlement program. I'm just getting started in their program and the first settlement was negotiated with one of my creditors. There were 4 payments scheduled for the negotiated settlement. One payment was made, then Beyond took their entire fee out before the next payment which caused the dedicated account to be short for the second payment, which they did not make because they took their fee before paying the creditor. I am now worried because this program appears to be a scam. When I contacted them and questioned them they said they used to take their fee out after the settlement, but their policy had recently changed. Now they take their fee after the first creditor payment is made. also they are not contacting the creditors as they said they would. I've started settling my debt outside their program because thay are only trying to settle the large accounts so they can get their larger fees faster. There are several smaller accounts that could all be settled, but they are not doing anything on those. It is impossible to discuss with anyone at the company. Only online chat and when I did finally reach a human, all they said is that their policy had changed. Again, thjis program appears to be a scam.Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you have experienced.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on October 25, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about how and when program fees are earned can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:

Beyond Finance met all expectations as is related to earning any fee installment as it relates to your authorized arrangement.
Additionally, located in your Enrollment Agreement is a review of your draft schedule. Your program was established with bi-weekly deposits. Records reflect that the program deposits for 1/27/2024 and 2/24/2024 were returned. This resulted in the funds not being available for your arrangement. Our team did work to ensure that arrangement was not broken.
When it comes to negotiations, there are several variables that we take into account. One of those is ensuring we work with historically aggressive creditors first, this is why we made the effort to address your **** of America account. Our negotiation efforts are always organized in a manner to ensure the most favorable offers are obtained based on historic norms.
Review determined that you have had the opportunity to address your concerns with an account manager. Client satisfaction is our top priority. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Choosing Beyond Finance was an horrible experience. I gave them over $2100 over 9 months. They only paid off two of my creditors (smaller accounts) and took about $444 in fees initially. Later when I cancelled with them, they took the rest of the money that had accumulated in my account $899 as their 25% fee for starting negotiations with one of my creditors whom they had only paid $3 so far. They told me they were entitled to taking their fee after the first payment had been made?! I was never told this was how they operated verbally, in my opinion it is unethical and I feel robbed. Not only is that last account not settled at all, $3 doesnt make a dent and they took close to a grand for themselves. For what? The creditor doesnt even have record of a negotiated lesser amount. Dont hire them unless you want to have your credit destroyed while they take their sweet time, and over charge you fees that were never discussed. I ended up paying them over $1300 in fees and they only settled 2 of my creditor accounts for close to $844 in 9 months! Now I have a credit score of 499!! I couldnt get a loan or anything if I needed to. My situation is far worse than when I started working with them in May 2023. They kept more money in fees for themselves than for paying off my accounts in total. I dont care what the fine print of the contract said, they have unethical business practices. In what other industry do you have to pay for services NOT rendered? I didnt get anything out of that last negotiation but yet they took $899 from me. Way to beat someone down who is already financially burdened. I bet they think their justified because its in the contract, no thats just a legal loophole to s**** people over who decide to part ways with them. This company is not transparent but predatory. I hope they realize theyre hurting single moms and vulnerable elderly people. I hope they go bankrupt or get shut down soon.Business response

I have been a client of Beyond Finance for over 5 months now. During that 5 months I have paid over $3800 into a special purpose account to help with negotiating settlements. Beyond Finance has taken out over $2200 in settlement fees, but only managed to settle one debt in the 5 months. Meanwhile, my credit score has tanked, accounts are being closed, and creditors are reaching out. I have forwarded communication to Beyond Finance, but they have chosen to ignore it or sit on their hands and rake in fees instead of taking action and working on getting settlements. The dashboard provided with overview of the enrolled debt is useless. I have had accounts in "Creditor Contacted" for months with no additional detail on progress or status. You don't get any information from their "Customer Success Team" unless you reach out, and then it is just a generic answer to "Rest assured", "Trust the process", and "Add more funds to the account'. At this point I feel I could have made more progress with the money that I have deposited into the program than their so-called experts have been able to do. If they are truly interested in helping their clients they should defer their fees until sufficient funds have build up to negotiate settlement. It seems like they want to be paid up front for the service the claim to provide while creating significant damage to their client's financial solutionBusiness response

I opted into this program to help settle 8 accounts. After receiving my first settlement offer, I was excited! I opened up the offer and it was for $50 payments on an $8000+ debt, when I originally had a payment of $500. Im thinking ohhhh boy they did such a great job with negotiating and I still have money in my account to continue to settle the other 7 creditors!! I love these people! I continue to make payments into my account and I receive an email from my original creditor stating my next payment of $510.94 February 29th. This email prompted me to go back into my beyond finance account and look again at my payment. Well I see there is a plus sign that you have to hit to get to the full settlement agreement. I hit the plus and it shows monthly dates of payments to be made to the creditor. I found each month that payment goes up so by the 3 rd month I am to pay this creditor near $500, An amount that I was already suppose to pay. At this point Im worried but I still have faith in beyond finance maybe they know what they are doing. Pay date roles around and now I have about $1350 plus dollars in my acct. They pay me creditor $50 and they take for themselves $1200+ in fees for negotiating leaving me with $99 in my dedicated acct. Now why would you take my highest owed acct and negotiate for the first month $50 and take the rest as a fee for yourself. Why not negotiate as much money this month as you negotiated the rest of the coming months. You tell me you pay my creditor $50 and you take $1200 HOW IS THIS ETHICAL. I called client services and if course she says well its a fee that you agreed to. They have the ability to break down that fee. So THATS WHAT THEY BREAK IT DOWN TOO?? Take everything so she has nothing left to negotiate with her other 7 creditors. I dont get how you can feel great about taking all that money for yourself at one time and pay the creditor $50. The operator said they will not return NONE of the money! I had no choice but close the acctBusiness response
