Hi, I settled a debt with Activate Financial LLC on 06/25/2021 via a payment using my debit card. According to the collection agency's website they're no longer in business. I never received a letter showing the debt was settled, but I have proof of payment and the letters I received regarding the debt. The issue that I have now is that another collection agency has now purchased the account that I settled with Activate Financial. The new collection agency has now placed the account that was settled through Activate Financial as a collection on my credit report. Overall, I would like proof of the account being settled through Activate Financial so that I can forward this information to the collection agency that purchased the debt previously settled through Activate Financial. Also, Activate Financial LLC was no longer in business as of November 30, 2021. According to the website of Activate Financial, a company called Vervent was over the company. The reason that I'm filing this complaint almost three years later is because I now have a collection account showing on my credit report for the same debt that was settled through Activate Financial LLC.
