    I needed to opened an account with UFB in early January because they were one of few that had mobile check deposit that didnt require direct deposit. I attempted 3 times to deposit check. First time rejection, quality of image was not acceptable. Second rejection, endorsement was not acceptable. Third attempt, refer to maker. Ive emailed, chatted and spoke to several representatives and followed their instructions to deposit the check. I called an complained about the third rejection and was given the option to mail the the check. In hopes of getting my account number to mail the check, Axos/UFB closes my account. The check was for $21k and after properly endorsing the check, I cannot redeposit it elsewhere. I am out $21k and Im friggin ****** off. The company will not rectify this and Ill be contacting my lawyer to have the money returned to me via check.

    Wow! As their website showed the rate going up to one of the highest in the country I was so happy I put a lot of money in my accounts a few months ago. Wrong! Not until I fished around my account in the app did I notice my rate was still locked into a low rate! Why? I called customer service and was informed that unless you call them and tell them you want your account switched to a higher rate you don't get one! What!? Every other bank I have accounts with automatically gives your account their going rate. I wasn't happy with the bank as it was because of how long it takes for my funds to appear in my accounts even though my funds disappear within a day or two from my funding accounts. So I lost a lot of interest money that I could have earned with another bank. ****** learned: read the fine print and examine your accounts regularly. Needless to say, I closed my accounts with them immediately. Now I'll see how long it takes to get my money.

    If you have lots of time to waste, this is the bank for you. If you are anything like me, you will just find their practices totally annoying and unethical.My experience with a savings account... - key ****** #1 - when they raise published interest rate on their savings accounts, they will not increase the interest rate on your specific account, unless you contact them and ask them to do it (seriously?) - ****** #2 - at funding time, they hold your money for several days without paying interest - when you transfer money from another account, you will find that it is withdrawn from that account several days before UFB shows as it being received, so no interest is earned from either institution during those days (are we in the 1950's, or what - don't know any other bank who has done this in decades)- so annoying #3- to fund the account via ACH, you have to fill out a form (i.e. request it, print it, fill it out, scan it, upload it, or was it mail it (can't remember) - oh my, I thought this was an online bank) - alternatively, you can fund it online, *** of $5000 per day, and a monthly *** of $10,000 (i used this option and ***ed out the transfers in 2 days, of course ) - next alternative, you could email them, ask for a temporary increase to the funding limits, wait a couple days for them to reset the system, and bingo, you can now fund your account fully. On a good note, customer service, when you can reach them, are very helpful in explaining their procedures, so at least you can understand them.

    I was told I could deposit money on my savings account at an ATM machine at a *** store in ************** when I deposit $25 the machine it took my money without giving me a receipt than a it said Out of Order, I spoke with a manager in the store he said it wasn't their machine nothing he could, I called UFB 12/7/22 they told me it would take 2-3 days, I send a message telling them what happened. 2 days later 12/9/2023 I called again because no one reach out to me, they said it will take 2 more days, then I called Monday 12/12/22 they said they don't have any information, I called again today 12/14/2022 the representative told me they don't have any information and it could take up to 30 more days, you barely could hear them, broken English no supervisor they are taking money from ppl. What can I do, also I deposited another $1 to show the manager at the *** that I wasn't being dishonest which it took that money with no receipt, I called AXOS Bank who the machine belongs to the machine it said if you are having a problem call your financial institution. Please Help Me Get my money, I'm thankful it wasn't a large amount of money

    I am on my second try to open an account. Can't get any answer from them other than "You will be contacted in 2-3 days." On my first attempt to put an application through they closed the application because they did not finish their part of the process in time.Next to impossible to hear and understand the person on the phone - sounds like he's standing in a crowded stadium and speaking very broken English, but all he says are the scripted answers, anyway. I have a large amount that I want to put in this account, but now I am seriously questioning the decision to use this bank.

    Extremely poor customer service. Excessive delays in trying to transfer funds from external source. They withdrew funds from my bank and failed to deposit them within 3 business days. Tried calling but only inadequate **** assistant that has cut me off twice without providing any ability to locate where my funds went. Am VERY upset.

    Deceptive practices. Changes the name of the savings account and offers a higher interest rate to new customers while leaving existing customers at the lower rate. So basically, they are saying if you don't keep an eye on them, they will cheat you out of their advertised current rate. You also get crappy customer service "IF" you can even understand who you are talking too. Going to close this crooked account...

    Horrible customer service, you call you will wait usually 20 minutes only to get someone in ***** who you cannot understand, I closed my large account and moved it to a better online bank!
