On Sept 27, 2023 a vehicle insured by Safe Auto Insurance company came sliding down ****** Street Hill and we were at the bottom getting ready to go up but we seen the vehicle coming and there was no place to go and they hit us almost head on which destroyed our front end of our vehicle. We called the police and sat there 45 minutes before the people came and gave us all their insurance information and completely admitted all fault and the man was very nice about. We filled the claim against their insurance company which is safe auto insurance company and received a claim number ********* and *********** was the adjuster assigned to the claim. As of right now we have never received anything from them. I went online a week ago to see what was going on with our claim just to find out that they closed it without settling with us or even contacting us by mail. We have $6500.00 in damage and labor for repair that Safe Auto Insurance company is responsible for and we do not understand why they feel as if how we've been treated is how this matter should be settled. The gentleman who drove me to the grocery store was injured and he did get medical attention cause his neck has a ruptured disc. I received whiplash for a few days and my right knee somehow was hurting for three weeks but I can walk now without it hurting as it did but I did not go to doctor. The only number that I have for *********** is ************ which we have called and gotten no response. This is completely bad business and we have been treated unfairly as if we don't matter. I am a customer with Safe Auto **********************, and I called to report my vehicle stolen and recovered on 7/22/2023. There was a police report filed and a claim was created to assist me with the theft. The claim has since been closed and I was instructed to locate a repair shop. I located a repair shop and was set to have the car towed (as instructed). I called the insurance to have the vehicle towed and I am getting the runaround about the process. I have not received a clear answer, the adjuster is not answering any of my calls or emails regarding this issue. This is the worst experience I have ever had.Initial Complaint

On June 23rd I tried to make a payment to Safeauto to reinstate my policy, I used my routing and account numbers, they said it was approved, all was good in the world, then 10 days later I received a text from the company that monitors insurance for the car dealership where I got my car saying my insurance had been cancelled. When I contacted safeauto they said they tried to charge me on July 3rd it was declined. they said they'd get a manager to call me back within 24 hours, after *************************************************************************************** with a manager, he told me they tried twice to charge me, he wouldn't give me the first date and he said the second date was July 3rd. I asked to speak to someone higher up, they said I'd receive a call in *********************************************************** a car accident on June 25th and reported a claim which at the time was accepted and covered, claims told me to call my insurance adjuster, which I had done several times on the 5th and 6th of July, I never received a call back. I called the insurance adjuster again 7/7 and he finally answered and told me my claim would probaly be denied and since I didn't trust that I would receive a call back from safeauto from someone higher up after about 18 hours had elapsed I decided to call again, this time I was told they tried to charge my card on the 23rd and called me and told me the transaction was declined, that's not true, they didn't call me and they didn't try to charge me because it would have come out because at that time I had sufficient funds. Safeauto never notified me that the transaction was declined either of the times they tried or that my policy was retroactively cancelled on the 23rd of June. This is going to have very very devestating consequences on my life financially to the point I may lose my home and job. And supposedly, there is nothing they can do.Initial Complaint

April 24 2023 my son hit a deer and totaled his car. The next day got text and phone calls from them. A week later when I called ************************* said it was a total loss. Both my son and I have been calling and leaving voice mail for ***************************. He has never called ** back. *************** says they are backed up and under staffed. All we want is for them to pay the car off so we can get out from under it. So he can get a different vehicle because me and my husband are down to 1 vehicle.Initial Complaint

I was hit head on in a ********** parking lot on December 10,2022. I was 7 months pregnant (ended up having my son on January 7). I was given the advisor ******* and it's been a total nightmare since. At first I would just call him and leave a voice mail that would never be answered. Well my car is now almost a month fixed and still no last payment in sight. Tomorrow I'm using my own hard earned money to get my car and no idea when the reimbursement pay will come in. He can't keep his dates straight, and only now has an issue since I call him non stop aka not letting him send me to voicemail. I make him answer the phone. I wish I had never wasted my money. I wish I could reimbursed all the money I have given them.Initial Complaint

I have had insurance through this company for over a year now and have had nothing but trouble the entire time! I pay almost $1600 a year of my insurance with them. They change things in your policy without giving any notices. On February 8 of this year I was in a motor vehicle accident in ****** ******* on my lunch break. No injuries but my vehicle was totaled. After the claim was initiated it took this company 3 weeks to get an adjuster out to look at my vehicle. It took them a week to start my rental through them and then only allow the rental for 20 days even though my policy states 30. Then when they did call me back after the adjust had looked at the vehicle they stated the vehicle was fixable and waited me the same price from another claim I had with them back on November 11, 2022 when a deer struck my van. I noticed this and when emailed the adjusters findings which clearly state non drivable/ total loss I had to call the insurance company back and go through several representatives to finally get this problem fixed. Then it took three more days for the claim to be processed by the total loss division, and given an offer for it. When I finally spoke with my representative for that department, I was told that I would only be allowed to keep my rental for three more days when it was on a Friday, and still unable to get anything. I was told 24 to *************************************************************************** with that. On Monday I tried to contact them and Tuesday and heard back from no one after leaving several messages on the phone and email now we are on to say four and after going through several representatives I was told that there was nothing else they could do and basically left stranded.Initial Complaint

On December 14, 2022 a lady hit me head on due to being on her cellular device. The police report that so have on hand explains in detail how,*** was at fault and what exactly happened. Now, since the accident, her insurance company has failed to return my calls/emails. Failed to return my insurance company's calls and my vehicle is still not repaired.Initial Complaint

I got into a car accident on December 5th 2022. I reported the accident to my insurance company safe auto I was assigned a claim specialist. I could never get a hold of her. There was zero communication she would not return my calls or let me know what was going on.just a couple weeks ago I was finally notified that my car was a total loss and told how much they are giving me. I sent in the title they received it on January 10th. Ive been trying to get an answer from them whether my sons car seat will be replaced by them, but I cant get through to anyone except for the main line who tells me that I need to talk to my claim specialist who never answers or returns my calls. When she told me my car was totaled out, she told me three days after they received the title they would send a check it is now January 24th and I still have not received the check and cannot get through to anyone who can give me any answers as to when I will receive my check or if my car seat will be replaced. I have not canceled my insurance through them yet because I want to make sure I get the check first, but its taking so long that I have been paying for insurance that I am not using anymore.Initial Complaint
