I bought a new crate motor from blueprint engines w/ warranty. *** at *** And Jacks auto repair installed it. There were a list of problems, one after the other with the service *** provided, problems that have voided my engines warranty with the manufacturer, and put my new motor at risk of severe internal damage.1) I picked up my car after *** was finished, after first 500 mile break in, which is most crucial, I checked the spark plugs and noticed they were black. It was discovered that one of the floats in the carburetor was stuck open leaking fuel nto my cylinder the whole time during the break in period causing a severe condition called cylinder wash which can damaged the piston rings, and cylinder walls. A problem that can take some time before it arises . I have documentation of the faulty carburetor from the manufacturer. This problem shouldve been noticed at the time of installation and start up. *** failed to inspect my carburetor in the beginning.2) While driving my vehicle during the break in period, I noticed the temperature gauge really high several times. I would pull over and let the engine cool, but the motor overheated on me several times. I later spoke to one of Toms parts suppliers, **** over at ************************, and he told me to check to see if *** burped the radiator. I ran the car while it was in my garage without the radiator cap on as **** said too, and after five or *************************************************************************************** the radiator. *** never burped my radiator. This too is a major problem during the breaking. Because the over heating of my motor voids my warranty with the manufacturer. I called ***, and at that very moment during our phone call he told me that he was having the same issue with another car he put together.3) i bought brand new headers that he destroyed, and many other problems documented. *** through a tool at his tool box during a conversation about the many problems

I am rejecting this response because:

      To whom it may concern,

After **** completed my vehicle. I drove it for the first 500 miles, and noticed that the spark plugs were black. It was discovered by **** that one of the floats in the car was stuck open. When I picked up my Camaro it was at night time, and **** was ******* to get it to me. **** did not do a proper inspection of the motor like he says he did. there were multiple problems from the bad float in the carburetor, burnt spark plug wires, a radiator that was half full, as well as the power steering pump. **** says that he inspected the motor and seen the heat tabs and everything was fine. Im curious to know what heat tabs he is talking about because after talking to blue print engines, I was informed that they do not use heat tabs. He is stating misinformation, and is not accepting accountability for hir actions. My vehicle overheated three times on me, and with the other multiple problems that were found, **** was frustrated, and even threw a tool at his toolbox during one of our conversations. he is right, I will not take my car back to him after experiencing his gross negligence, and in professionalism. I have plenty of photos to back up my case. On one occasion he told me to pay him $500 and he would clean up my wires under my hood. I paid him, off record, and  my wires are still a mess. I can provide pictures upon request.

I must reiterate that, although I have passed the leak down test currently. Cylinder wash is a problem that can come up 30 to ****** miles later. Limiting, and cutting short the lifespan of my motor in the long run.

This is a very costly job, and **** should be held accountable for his gross negligence either through his own admittance, or through the court system. Understand that this was a major investment for me, and due to the lack of professionalism, and damage caused to my investment by ****, I will pursue this legally, if I must. ***************** **************

      Sincerely,

      *******************
