On March 13th 2021 I went to Kings Express Tire & Lube to get my trucks oil change and service done. Truck is 2014 Freightliner Cascadia, VIN# FDO203, LICENSE PLATE # WP85411, TRUCK # 713. When the truck went for PM servicing the vehicle was in great running condition. After the PM service was done and I paid for the services and left the vehicle only went 1 mile and shut down on the road. I called Kings Express Tire & Lube and spoke to Harjot, I had to call a tow truck because CHP pulled behind my broke down truck. Harjot sent two of the Kings Express Tire & Lube's mechanics to look at the vehicle. They came inspected the vehicle and tried to jump start the vehicle and it would not start. They used heavy duty chains to move the vehicle to the side of the road. The mechanics told me that the batteries current was low. They connected a jumper cable from the refer unit on my trailer to the trucks jump post. I was told that I will have to change the batteries and the mechanics left to go back to Kings Express Tire & Lube. My friend came to take me to the battery store to get new batteries and we returned with batteries after approx. 45 minutes. Without changing the batteries, I decided to try to start the truck and the truck started. I left the trailer on the street and took the truck back to Kings Express Tire & Lube which was back 1 mile. As soon as I reached the shop the truck shut down by itself again. There was a very distinct smell of oil coming from the truck. Harjot's brother opened and checked the oil filters and the diesel filter. He noticed there was metal in the filters. I was advised to call WARIS MOBILE TRUCK SERVICE INC, since he had rebuilt the engine on the truck in December 2020. The truck only had approx 18,000 miles after the rebuilt. Kings Express Tire & Lube were telling me the engine was not rebuilt correctly. WARIS MOBILE TRUCK SERVICE INC had come out on March 14th 2021 to look at the truck. I towed the truck to WARIS MOBILE TRUCK SERVICE INC shop on March 15th 2021. Mohd from WARIS MOBILE TRUCK SERVICE INC checked the truck and gave his report that the rebuilt was good and properly done following all the procedures. Mohd had found that the standpipe and the bypass valve on the oil filter were broken. I spoke to Harjot that Mohd found that Kings Express Tire & Lube damaged the standpipe and bypass valve. Kings Express Tire & Lube was not satisfied by Mohd's report. Harjot told me that he spoke to Freightliner Dealer and they will inspect my truck. I had to get the truck towed to Freightliner Dealer @ 100 Opportunity Street, Sacramento, CA 95838, 916-286-2092. The dealer inspected the truck and upon viewing a video of the oil change and speaking to Kings Express Tire & Lube told me that Kings Express Tire & Lube had not followed the correct procedure of doing the oil change on the Detroit Motor which is also provided. Kings Express Tire & Lube made a claim with their insurance I received an email from them on March 29th 2021. They have had me run around and jump thru multiple hoops. I received their decline of claim.
