On 9/18/23, AHS set AT Appliance to come out and assess our washing machine. The repairman showed up on time. My wife and I were present for the 5 minute assessment of the Amana washing machine. He never took the cover off the machine. He just pushed on the Drum. He informed that the bearing on the washing machine drum were bad and he would submit a claim to see if it was covered by AHS. I was conserved this was not the problem as the machine has always run quiet and the only issue we were having was the door sometimes did not unlock. 2 days later I received a call stating repairman determined bearings failed due to miss use and overloading and this repair would not be covered by the warranty. I called AT Appliance to try to get information on how the repairman came to this assessment as the information I received from various experts is that drum bearings will fail over time and to get 10 years is very good. That coupled with the fact we do not overload the washing machine. As requested, *** from AT appliance contacted dispatch and they said repairman opened up the washer and did an extensive exploration of the unit. I informed *** that this did not happen and based on recent reviews they may have a repairman who may not being good for there company. I explained that I have another repair company coming out to check the washing machine out and I believe it will be quite different from there repair person and wanted to give AT Appliance a chance to make this situation acceptable before the second opinion came out. The response was that I should get a second opinion. Well A&E came out . Opened the washer up and said the bearing are fine and I needed a new control board which they have since ordered. AHS is covering this repair. It appears, AT Appliance is not interested in staying in business as the current rating is 1.7 and a lot of the most recent reviews stem from the same problem I had with this situation. I will be requesting AHS use AT appliance
