      I was notified in early 2025 by the city that I had a leak in an outside line. ***** **** from the city returned my call identifying himself as an advocate from the city to help me. He referred me to On The Spot and *** ******** find the source. I called and *** came out with his equipment. It started to sprinkle and *** explained he couldn't do the inspection in the rain and that he would come back 2 days later on Saturday, He had me pay $375 and gave me the uploaded receipt (saying no charge to come back). I never heard from *** again. Over the next many months, I have repeatedly called and there is never an answer. I leave a message to return my call and he never does. I called ***** at the city in April and he said he hasn't been able to get in touch with *** either but that he would try and at least tell *** he should give me my money back. That was the last I heard from *****. He never let me know whether he talked to *** and he doesn't return my messages. I have never heard back after may repeated voicemail messages left for ***. The work was not done by ***. I have left a review of my experience on **** and now reporting it to BBB. Its extremely unprofessional by the city and ***** **** to refer dishonest people, and *** basically stole $375 from me. I now have to find and pay another leak detection company and start from the beginning.
