Dear BBB,I am requesting your assistance in investigating an unapproved product substitution. On 9/9/23, I placed an order for the Galtech 537TK58 9 Foot Teak Wood Crank Lift Round Market Umbrella on HomeClick's subsidiary website GaltechUmbrellasUSA.com. Order #******** The website description clearly shows photos of a brown, spherical finial (the piece on top of the umbrella that gives it its character). The website also includes a "spec table" that states that the finial material is "resin." I was expecting to receive the umbrella that was pictured and described.Instead, the umbrella I received had a silver metallic bullet-shaped finial. It looked completely different from the brown, spherical finial shown in the product photos. It also was made out of a completely different material. I reached out to the company's customer service on 9/15/23, immediately after receiving the umbrella with the incorrect finial. I was told that the company's manufacturer had changed the finial AND that they could not (or would not) send me the correct one. AND I was told that they would not refund me for the cost to purchase a finial (to match the one that was depicted/described in their product listing). These run for about $40 including shipping. I was told that this would cost them too much.So essentially, this company listed and described a product as having a nice-looking brown spherical resin finial (which distinguished it from other umbrellas on the market), but instead sent me a product that looks different, and then says the equivalent of "sorry too bad." In my opinion, this is not an ethical business practice. Businesses need to describe items they sell online accurately, and they should not engage in "bait and switch" practices. Please see the attached photos of the product listing vs what I actually received.
