      This company remotely went onto my computer on Thursday, April 10th last week. Because someone had hacked into it a couple of weeks before then I could not use it so needed to have someone do a remote job to get it back to normal. They charged me for 2 different charges plus they put a antivirus thing on here and did not mention to me that they were doing that. They also took everything on my desktop off and now I don't have that anymore. I need to get these things put back on there. When I called them up and told them about them taking off everything on my desktop the guy on the phone claimed they did not do that. I told him that it was all there a couple of days ago. They ripped me off for a total of $437.00. I don't believe it should have cost me this much and do have the invoice online which I cannot print off because I have windows 11. They also need to refund me the money for the antivirus software which was $59.00. They should have told me that they were going to do this and asked me if it was okay. They never mentioned it. Before dealing with this company, I had tried 2 or 3 times to contact the Geek Squad and the first time the guy set me up for an appt for them to come out. He told me that I had 24 hours to pay the money to them. So the next morning when I tried to do that, someone else said the appt had been cancelled. All they did was give me the runaround. It is getting very old with putting up with companies like this in ********** who do nothing but rip you off.

      I understand that this has been a frustrating experience for you. It is always upsetting when criminals have invaded what should be your secure space whether that is your home or your computer. We regularly assist customers in situations similar to yours and have done our best to return your computer to the state you expect.

      You are correct that you were charged for two services: the removal of the tools used by the scammers to control your computer and the cleanup of junk and unwanted programs, including a number of malicious programs. In the recording of your calls with my technician, he explained the charges for service as well as the installation and cost of the antivirus software before performing the work, and you approved all of it. As I mentioned to you before,I am happy to share that recording with you.

      I know there are items you are used to having on your desktop that are no longer there, but we did not remove them. Perhaps they were deleted by the scammers, but they were not present at the time we initially connected to your computer. Even though it was not part of the service for which you were quoted, I would have had my technician return the items you wanted to your desktop, but you did not know what was missing. At the time, you could only remember that there were documents but not what documents so my technician placed your documents on your desktop at your request.

      We have completed the service you requested and paid for. If you would no longer like the antivirus software, I can uninstall it and refund that charge to you. Thats not a problem, but I will need to talk to you without you continuing to hang up on me so I can confirm what you want and process the refund.
