      Date of situation was march 30, 2024 at 5:00 am. my car was towed. from my privet property apartment complex from a handicap spot which i normally park in due to me being disabled. I am also on a fixed income so my ******** not currently have a sticker or plackard due to not being able to afford the gas to get down to the *** this month, however if my plate was ran before they towed my car they would have found that i in fact have a handicap permit. but besides all that since it it privet property any tow must get prior approval from the apartment complex management first which they did not have. so i called the tow company and spoke with a guy who would not give me his name after i explained that they towed my car ilegally and i would like them to help me figure this out and get my car realsed, or speak to a manager he stated that he was the only one in thne office he was only a driver and that it was $420.00 to get it out that day and that the manager was not in untill monday which would increase the amount even more each day. i called him back several times after he told me he would finally try to reach his manager to get this matter resolved and he would call me back and let me know something. he was very rude twords the end of the conversation and extreamly unprofessionall. I waited and waited and the call of course never came so i tryed to reach back out over and over again for the rest of the day and each time it just rang and rang till the michine picked up. or was forwared.

      this vehicle was towed for being parked in a clearly marked handicap spot without any type of placard displayed.we wer called out to rmove it from the spot and had prior authorization to do so.we dont have any way to verify that it should have a placard assigned to it.

      I am rejecting this response because:  first off the car was towed at five something in the morning my disability I have a bad bladder I had my placard in the car just didn't hang it from the window I had to hurry upstairs to use the restroom and then didn't make it so then proceeded to clean myself up I fell asleep and when I woke up my car was gone I feel like I'm being discriminated against because I contacted the management the next day to find out if they had my car towed and the manager herself specifically told me and apologize for the whole situation because they did not give prior authorization for it to be towed it was a weekend and they were not even in the office nor did have any kind of knowledge of the fact that it was being towed at the same time that morning when it was towed there was two other vehicles that were parked in handicap without placards and are not known disabled persons the cars were cited that very morning by parking police officers and cited for being in the same spots

      i think you just mentioned in the first complaint that you hadnt made it to dmv to get your new placard, now your saying it was in the car?im sorry you feel your being discriminated against but that is not the case.as for the other pictures you just sent of someoneelses cars you need to address that with your manager in office.

      I am rejecting this response because: yes you're correct I said I had not made it to the *** to get the new placard I never said that I did not have the one that hangs from the rear view mirror in my vehicle I don't understand why it is so hard for you to inform me who called to have my car towed when clearly it was not management.

      My vehicle was unlawfully towed pursuant to VC ***** and *****: Preditory towing is not permitted in **********. The tow driver admitted to me as did the manager that they drive around and find cars to tow. They did not obtain prior written authorization, they did not provide notice to the police within 30 min and they refused to provide me with proof that my AWD vehicle was towed on a flatbed or a dolly. Further, there is not proper signage at one of the entrances, whos is the one that I use, regarding the name/address/phone of the tow company. I am seeking 4x the amount of the tow pursuant to the code section. I tried to resolve it with the manager and his response was ***** just have to *** me. The property management also confirmed that they did not provide authorization for the tow. The vehicle was parked on private property. The tow company stated that they did not have to obtain prior written authorization.
