    On 12/31/24, my husband and son brought my son's car for a routine smog check so that we could register his vehicle for the new year. The car is a 2013 Kia ******* the engine was replaced in 2022 when we purchased the vehicle form him and has had routine maintenance, no issues since purchased and has never had a check engine light on and has not been serviced in any way in the last 100 miles. They chose this place. The technician started the smog process and the person said that it failed. The person claimed there was visually white smoke. However, there was not. My husband and son were watching the inspection and there was no smoke, it was 45 degrees out and cold but no white smoke, only condensation. My husband told them there was not any white smoke. They charged my son $41.70. They told them they will need to drive it for a few hours and then come back and they will charge them again. Instead, they went to another business and the vehicle passed smog immediately. My husband contacted Quality Tune-Up to confront them about the discrepancy and the were very rude and they told him sarcastically to take our concern up with the ***********************. There was no regard for the consumer. This was not better business, this was bad business and ripping my teenage son off from his hard earned money, which we would like back. My son was cheated.
