1 starI have been attempting to get support from SunPower regarding my leased solar system, which has been experiencing issues for 3 months. Despite multiple emails and inquiries, I have received little to no response from SunPower's customer service team.I have specifically requested both technical support and credit for the systems underperformance and downtime, but these requests have gone unanswered. I am fulfilling my obligations by continuing to pay the lease, yet SunPower has not met their end of the agreement in terms of service and communication. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable, especially given that this is a long-term lease agreement with significant financial commitment. I am extremely frustrated with the poor customer service and feel unsupported as a paying customer.I am seeking the following resolution:Prompt repair of the solar system and restoration of full functionality.A formal response from SunPower acknowledging the issue.A service credit for the period during which the system has underperformed or been inactive. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will explore further options, including filing a complaint with state regulators and considering legal action for breach of contract.Review fromWilliam K

1 starSUNPOWER What is going on with the work order for repair, I am paying THOUSANDS dollars to SCE !!!I found out that 1 of 2 inverters was out of order when I checked electricity bills which read $2381.62 for Jun/2024 and $4108.45 for Jul/2024 but before those amounts I had paid about $400 in a YEAR(not a month). I called Sunpower to check the solar system around late Jul and very early Aug/2024, and it said one of 2 inverters were out of order and an work order was placed to it's tech team.A couple of days later, I got a news about chapter 11. I called so many times for a couple of months and it always said that there was nothing it can do at the moments and now it has turned to AI answering over the phone. But the thing is that I am still paying the lease amount of $411.05 and I am not able to contact any person in Sunpower to take care of that repair. There have been AI answering on the phone, no Human answers the phone at all. ****** still charges $400 - 500/month.Review fromGregory F

1 starCustomers an't even make payments reliably--- portal does not work, can't reach anyone by phone and they send threatening emails if you have a lease. My system has not worked since ***** resulting in $4500 electric bill. I am paying for nothing. Sunpower collects and monitors information about the status of their equipment but I did not know until SCE sent me a bill. Sunpower is out of business because of lawsuits and mis-management. The government should regulate these companies because they are using long term financial instruments and have liens on properties but do not have to account for their financial stability. This criminal. I encourage customer to do research on their new potential owners Complete Solaria and write their Board but keep in mind if you have a lease that Complete Solaria stock price is about $1.47.Review fromTony L

1 starMy solar panel service was transferred to SunPower without my acknowledgement. Now they set up a new payment system needing me to update my info. But I never received any mail to help me set up the system such as the account number. I have to keep calling the customer service, which never has a real human being to take my call. But they keep leaving my voicemail to set up for payment. WTF, you need to cooperative as well even I want to avoid owning money. Overall, terrible technology transfer ever, worst.Review fromScott U

1 starSunPower is a garbage company. We cannot close escrow as we are trying to move out and sell our house. We have a builder we are trying to move out and the buyer has been waiting. SunPower is terrible. We have waited nearly 2 hours on the phone with them.SunPower Corporation

1 starWe're trying to close on a house that we've been in escrow on for weeks now, and we can't close because the sellers have a lease with SunPower and SunPower Financial has not sent over the transfer agreement. I've called SunPower Financial five times in the past week, during their listed business hours (7am-7pm CST) and have yet to talk to a human being. After being on hold for at least 1hr 40min, an automatic recording comes up "you've reached SunPower after hours, call back during regular business hours." Well, I've ensured to call in the morning and mid-day. It's impossible. We literally can't close on this house because SunPower hasn't sent over paperwork for a lease transfer. It's infuriating. My call log the past week | total hold time: 8 hours and 35 minutes 5 calls.8/26/24 (on hold for 1hr 41 min)8/27/24 (on hold for 1hr 51min)8/28/24 (on hold for 1hr 41 min)8/30/24 (on hold for 1hr 40min)Today, 9/3/24, (on hold for 1hr 42min)I've talked to nobody. It's insane. I realize they're going through bankruptcy, but that doesn't mean the day-to-day operations just cease to happen.SunPower Corporation

1 starWow where to start. We selected them after interviewing several. We selected them based on several factors. What we failed to see was how poorly they are organized. This was over a year ago by the way. They would send a crew out to do part of the job, but that crew would not know what the other crew was doing. I felt like I was their project manager. There was a lot of miscommunications between these groups. Some groups were poorly trained and other had to come behind them and fix their work due to it failing some sort of quality check. I was told by some of the employees that they just grab people off the street. Anyway- lots of issues and it did not work properly. It took 6 months after installation and 6 different groups of people to come out and fix it to get it to work. I have a clay ***** They broke some tiles. I asked for a final check on broken tiles, and they ghosted me. I guess that is my problem now. When I saw the bankruptcy notice, it was not a surprise. I would strongly encourage you to do your research but there is no way I would recommend them. I would like to give them zero stars but I guess that is not an option.SunPower Corporation

1 starThis is my worst experience of service I ever had. I spent big money and receiving worst service and customer service. We paid off of solar panel lease, and money has taken out. I has been 15 days, but I have not heard anything and still paying monthly lease automatically. I called 5 times and waited at least 40min - 1 hr every time, but customer service wasn't helping me at all. What I heard is that they have a ticket number and waiting from corporate to send that payment information over to financial. AND he asked me to call and check to another department. Are you serious? You need to find a team and follow up or find a problem why it takes so long or find out what is wrong. I wasn't able to connect to corporate team... I am block of doing home sales because of this. Created a ticket from the Sunpower financial team: ******* I need this to resolve ASAP.SunPower Corporation

2 starsThe solar panels are working as expected and I am happy to have a reduced electric bill. However, I am trying to request a document from SunPower and they put you on hold for long periods, never answering the phone. They should not be so ***** to do business if they cannot provide support.SunPower Corporation

1 starI bought my system about a year ago, and it has proven, so far, to be a waste of money. I have had a panel out for almost a year. Sunpower has not addressed/fixed the issue. In addition to the HORRIBLE customer service; my energy bills are still extremely high. Either Sunpower is not delivering what they promised, or PG&E is ripping me off. The problem is that I can't get a hold of anyone from this company to explain/clarify my concerns. My true up bill was almost $4000! I was promised I would no longer have to pay PG&E because of how big of a system I was told I was getting. This is clearly not the case, and this company does NOT care! Now I am paying for solar panels, AND I'm still paying an electricity bill! WHAT A SCAM!SunPower Corporation
