Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/14) */ Writing you this letter regarding the complained filed above. Ms. **** first complained was back in august of 2021. She made the complained about project manager ******* He no longer wanted to continue the job because Ms. **** would constantly be disrespectful to him, yell at him, and call him at all hours of the night. She came to the office, demanded ****** to be fired and for *** ****** (the owner) to take over the job. At first, we didn't want to, but she insisted for us to continue the job just not ******* Mr. ****** agreed because he didn't want any issues. The job was a nightmare from the start, she kept yelling at all the workers, to the point that no one wanted to work there. She called them names and they would call Mr. ****** to let him know they will not accept any ********** from Ms. ****. This was an everyday thing and Mr. ****** still managed to try and keep her happy and do his best to finish the job. She kept telling the workers to do extra things outside of the contract and that they needed to listen to her because she was the boss. Mr. ****** managed to do these extra things to again try and make her feel satisfied. All inspections were approved and passed ** the inspectors, but Ms. **** would call the inspectors every time and demand them to come back because it was wrong. The inspector would come back and again approved every inspection requested. The final issue was with the bathroom shower that she designed herself because she wanted to rent it out to disable people, even thought the shower was too small for that. We passed ***** inspection and she called and demanded a supervisor to come out and inspect again, after about 3 to 4 calls a supervisor came out and told her that on one side it was only small by 1 inch. Mr. ****** was ready to fix the 1-inch issue to just get the job done with, but Ms. **** refused and fired him. She had an unlicensed contractor on site doing work for her as well and handyman and tried to convince my workers to work for her and that she would pay them cash. Even after all this Mr. ****** still try his best to finish the job to her liking but Ms. **** wasn't happy with anything. She still owes the company $***** and that's not even including all the extras she made the workers do. I please ask for any type of assistance to get Ms. **** to stop ********* Mr. ****** & the ******** Everything was done up to code and approved by the city. At this point its out of our control. If you have any questions, you can contact Mr. ****** at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/04/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Mr. ****** response is not true and incomplete. Mr ******, ********* the job early february 2022 after city inspector Mr. ******* **** gave him a ********** note he ********* information in an attempt to pass *** was discovered by the owner of the property, being in the open was not taken gladly he reacted with insults and treats, that are recorded and as witnesses I have my household members and my neighbors and the city inspector was made aware immediately the same day. several text messages and e-mails addressing the complain. CID builders company is dishonest, uses less than desirable construction materials and their workmanship is of very low quality to this I have many pictures to prove it. He made many changes to the plans without the approval of the owner a window was omitted, window sizes were change the height of the ceiling was changed, the location of the ac unit was wrong, no gas line for the stove, no vent for the dryer, no water line for the refrigerator and no closet for the bedroom, the attic clearance is less than the 21 inches required by plans windows missing the screen, shower panel smaller than required both by code and by plans, the walls are full of ****** and patches painting needs to be redone, vegetable planters were used as trash cans full of construction material waste because he did not even take all his trash away and left it for the owner to clean it up, are some of the errors found the list is big and each time he ******** extra payment to correct them, He was paid extra for many because I did not know better them, as a first time person building I relied on the city inspector and the contractor honesty and experience. Another item he did not provide were bathrooms for his workers as a result they were using my patio as their personal bathroom when no one was home to let them use a bathroom inside the property. A complaint was filed against this company in 2021 for the same construction at that time construction was in the demolition phase and trenches were open for water pipes and sewer lines the complain addresses many safety issues where he was found a fault and was given the opportunity to correct and continue by the owner as adviced by licensing. the complaint was ****** at this time I am waiting for their investigation conclusion. Mr. ****** offered to correct the construction problem but only after I left him pass ********** for ********** extra, which not only shows his knowledge of the problem but his intentions to secure more money for something that should have been include all along, and I called him up on that. as you can see the work required is not just and inch as he describes it and I waited 2 months for him to fixed it without paying him the extra money but he refused to do it. You have my permission to publish my complaint and any of all pictures of his work. future clients should be made aware of his tactics'. I also have pictures of the checks used for the stage payments which were off and one time he accused me of paying just $***** when he cashed a check for $********* always trying to confuse me and take advantage until now. He should stop coming to my door to ******** ********** me and ******* ******* of ******** ***** and legal harm towards my disabled child and *** As for who I hire to work *** should know that the construction permit is under the Owner's name. in one of his latest text message he agreed to being responsible for the damage of the double iron door done during his work in my property and agreed that the payment should come from what was owed if any, at this time I fear for my safety and that of my family It is my decision not to have any further contact with Mr. ****** of anyone representing his company. Consumer Response /* (-5, 11, 2022/04/17) */ ***Document Attached*** Consumer Response /* (-5, 12, 2022/04/17) */ ***Document Attached*** I am submitting documentation to support both the corrections still needed and correspondence from licensing regarding the complain against CID, I did not begged him to come back the only one benefitting from continuing the work was CID, and again Mr. ****** was at my front door several times until he was able to convince me to sign. Just like he is doing now Lying. He has been very abusive, deviating from the plans without consulting with the owner, even things like the color and kind of handles of the cabinets. the color of the paint the lay out of the kitchen I am including picture and message date 2/17/2022 we were still communicating and i suggested that solution to fix the bathroom but he needed to closed the window and remove the step in the shower floor which he agree on doing but it was another of his dishonest tactics because the next day he scheduled inspection without my knowledge and abandoned the job. and from the video you can hear his intentions since the start of securing extra money using whatever means, besides what was stipulated in the contract he overcharge me extra more than $********* alleging that those things were not include in the plans and that they needed to get done o he was not able to continue, again my fault I needed to get the adu build and I do not know how to read the plans. I trusted him, as long as I paid he was working but it is only now that I refused to pay $********* extra for a bathroom that is included in the plans but he altered the dimensions so it is not functional, I am not able to rent this unit in this condition, and he is so late construction started in 06/2022 was supposed to take 3 months only. Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2022/06/08) */ ***Document Attached*** I *** ****** have resolved this complaint with the consumer ***** **** with a settlement. Attatched is the sign documentd by both parties.
