Ive mailed them a letter to cancel my home alarm, after my 5 year contract expired. They told me to mail a certified letter, which was received by their company and signed for. Despite this, they still would not want to discuss my service cancellation over the phone. Their customer service is poor. Their business communication is poor. This company since day one has lied about their services and prices. For the past three years they have been charging themselves and I dont even have a functional system. I moved two years ago and their technicians didnt even bring over the items they supposedly needed to set up the service in my now house. I have called them over 20 times requesting to speak to a supervisor and no one returns my call. I have been paying for over three years with no actual alarm system working. I need some assistance with this company, who would let them continue doing this to us ?Initial Complaint

The sales person, ************************* sold this product to me and promised over $8k in discounts ie: veteran, disabled veteran, first responder, etc and confirmed these discounts would be issued in the form of checks to me. He further explained that he could "lose his job" over these discounts. He also told me that I would receive $15K in tax rebates that could be applied to my loan for the solar panel system. That was far less than $15k and is broken over 2 years, which I would not be able to apply to my solar panel loan. The install team came out in October and as of the end of January, I am still unable to use my own solar. There has been no movement on completion and the solar sits idly while ********** ***** my solar. This is absolutely unacceptable. The company is going to be required to provide the $8k checks of discounts and immediately release my use of the solar in order to get close to making this right. I wish I had read the BBB prior to engaging the company. The company needs to know that if they do not pony up the $8k in discounts that were PROMISED and fail to immediately release my solar to me, I will certainly hire an attorney and produce all of the email and text communication from ******* to me.Initial Complaint

We entered into a contract with Titanium after a hard sell by a door to door salesman. We had to call them many times because the equipment was not working properly. I would set the alarm and anyone could just walk in and it wouldn't go off. My husband is out of town a lot so I rely on a solid security system. I complained to them over and over. Finally, talked to someone about just getting out of my contract. That person said in 2022 to call back in November 2023 and they would work with me since I no longer used their services. THEN, they sold out and when I called in November, it was all news to them. I talked until I was exhausted and just ended up paying off $1324 on my contract because that was the only way I could get out of it. I WOULD SUGGEST TO ANYONE THAT IF THEY EVER SHOW UP ON YOUR DOORSTEP, DON'T LET THEM IN. They have horrible customer service and now their call center is in a foreign country so it's hard to even communicate with them. I will tell everyone I know about the customer service and always read complaints on BBB.Initial Complaint

Amp Smart took over Titanium. Titanium didn’t do what they said they would by paying off my old system from my prior company. I called to find out my payoff and Amp Smart would only offer a new system or repair my existing cameras that I am having problems with. I told them that that is unacceptable. The person I spoke with said that when they took over Titanium something’s were just lost and that they couldn’t fix the fact that Titanium didn’t follow what they had promised. So, I wound up eating the extra $1040 that Titanium was supposed to payoff on my old system. I called them several times and to no avail. I even sent them the information on the company that they needed to contact to pay it off. I finally got frustrated enough that I just gave up. Which is what I am hearing is their MO. All I want is to be reimbursed for the extra money I have paid on my old system. And to be done with Titanium and whoever owns. I am tired of the runaround and being told that I can’t get reimbursed and that they can fix my system or put a new one in and extend my current contract.Initial Complaint

I called to cancel my account in December and was told that since I had completed my contract I was on a month to month and would need to email a letter stating that I wanted to cancel my account. I did that right away and then was charged again in January. I called them again and they said it may take a month and that I would need to provide another letter and would get credited back the money for January. I sent another letter but the money for January was not returned. The same thing happened in February. In February I told them they I was going to de-authorize them with my bank. It is now April and I have a withdrawal from my SAVINGS account from AmpSmart.... the company Titanium merged with. Once again called my bank and disputed the charge. This is ridiculous. I cancelled this account in December. Have followed all of their awkward cancellation steps and I'm still getting charge. I'm not sure how they were able to move from my checking to savings either. Back in 2019 a guy with Titanium stopped by about installing an alarm system. His pitch was that we would not be under a contact. Etc. We agreed, and from day one we start ed having problems with the company. Our door bell wouldn't ever ring. Some one finally showed up to repair still didn't work. Was told that we needed to upgrade it..We paid more money for the upgrade. Still had the same problem as before.. They told us it couldn't be fixed. Lousy service.. we continued with not hearing the doorbell rang when some was at the door for more years mainly because of our busy lifes we had no time to look into getting another company.
So recently we started getting false alarms.Police coming to the house several times. In the mail the following week we recieved a bill from a company named AMP SMART .we called them unaware that Titanium had sold out to them or so it appeared.. We called them and spoke with a Jackie on 3-25-2023 about our problem and wanting to close account and services. She offered her apology and said that the acct /services were now closed. Never saying we were under a contract or owed anything else. we proceeded in getting another alarm company to secure our home.
Later the next week a guy called from Titanium/AMP SMART telling us we had 14 months still on a contract..Again we were told that we had no contract.,when installed.
We called spoke with a David at AMP SMART and told him our problem he said to call their LOYALTY dept at ###-###-####. for help..We called and spoke with Autumn a Mgr just for her to say there is nothing she could do that we had a 14 mo contract and owed $1510.46 plus past due amount of S202.30. before she could close the acct/service I ask to speak to her mrg she said that she had no one over her that I could speak with. I knew that was a LIE..but she refused to give me a name..so at this point until this is resolved the account is still active and accumulating fees. We need HELP with this matter.BUT where can we get it!Initial Complaint

On September 1, 2021 I sold my home at ***** Round up ct ***********, CA ***** requiring a security service. This company has continues to charge me every month since then. I have tried to cancel numerous times via phone and email. They inform me that in order to cancel I have to pay off my contract etc. At this point I am out of contract and they still won't let me cancel my service and tell me that if I do not pay them MORE money (over 1200) for the cancelation fee I will automatically be renewed contract. I have canceled the card on file with them numerous times yet they manage to charge a new card number that I never authorized. At this point I have paid over 1200 to them since the sale of my home not including any overdraft fees because they pull from my bank without my knowledge or consent.
I do understand we had a contract but I authorized a specific payment method and they take it upon themselves to find an alternative one. I want my services canceled.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Titanium in 08/2018. The sales person promised a 2nd panel, but never delivered. Titanium refused to honor it because he wrote it separately from the contract. The smoke detector never worked probably. I called several times, and was told each time a tech would be out
Their tech was a no call, no show each time. They refused to make any accommodations for not getting the service I contracted for. In 08/2022, I moved out of state. The system was working at the time, except for the smoke detector that was never fixed or replaced. A couple months after I moved, the system failed completely, now I have no service. Titanium won't do anything because there is no one living in the house to let in a tech. They have said I need to complete my contract before I can cancel. So already paid 4 years for incomplete services, now I have to continue to pay even though I'm not receiving any services due to their faulty equipment.Initial Complaint

For years now, their home security services have not been functioning. Each attempt to resolve this issue were futile, finding no resolution. After failed attempts to solve this first issue, I decided I wanted to cancel their services as I no longer wanted nor needed them. I have tried many times to cancel services with this company and have found it practically impossible to do so. It began with a customer service representative telling me I needed to send an email requesting cancellation to a specific email, and I would receive a call from them when they received my email. I emailed them multiple times and did not hear back from them at all. I continued contacting their customer service number. Each time warranted some different excuse as to why each previous attempt to cancel my services failed. They told me they hadn't received my emails despite me sending multiple. Others told me they would investigate and "find" the emails I sent and that they would call me back. Again, each time I was told this absolutely nothing happened. Another individual had told me they could do it over the phone but that it would take 30 days until further steps could be taking and that they would call me back after the 30 days. Once again, I did not hear back from them and in fact only received a call back when there were issues with payment after I had to replace my debit card. I have tried countless times to cancel my services with this company and they have made it absolutely impossible and have continued to drag along the issue, spewing the same slew of excuses.
