Dear IHOP Customer Service,I am writing to formally request a full refund of $34 following a deeply unsatisfactory experience at one of your IHOP locations on July 3rd.Upon arrival, we were immediately put off by the condition of the restaurant. The floor was dirty, and trash was overflowing at the entrance. We were not greeted or acknowledged by staff until I had to initiate the interaction by saying, "Hello, we would like to be seated." Three employees were preoccupied with something behind the host stand, but not one made an effort to engage us or the customer ahead of us, who was also treated rudely.Despite the poor service, we decided to stay and order food, as we were hungry. Unfortunately, the situation only worsened. The restaurant was infested with flying bugs, particularly gnats, which were swarming around and landing on our food multiple times. This made it impossible to eat the meal safely or enjoyably. The environment was completely unsanitary, and as a result, we were unable to finish our food or take leftovers home as originally planned.While the food itself was hot and edible under normal circumstances, the presence of insects made it unfit for consumption. Due to the unsanitary environment and the unacceptable service, we did not leave a tip and promptly left the restaurant. I am a DoorDash delivery driver who regularly picks up orders from the IHOP in *******. On multiple occasions, including the most recent incident on [Insert Date], I have experienced extremely poor service at the takeout window.Specifically, there is never anyone present to assist delivery drivers, even during high-volume hours. Dashers are left standing at the takeout window for over 10 minutes or longer, without any communication or acknowledgement from staff. There is no system or designated person checking on delivery orders, and no updates are provided on the status of the food we are there to pick up.I understand that this IHOP may be busy with in-house dining and phone orders. However, delivery orders are a critical part of modern restaurant business, and the lack of organization and communication is unacceptable. It not only affects the timeliness of deliveries but also reflects poorly on both IHOP and the delivery platforms they partner with.There is no excuse for leaving drivers waiting without any information or support, especially when we are also representing IHOP to the customer. This repeated experience makes the location appear unprofessional and poorly managed.Requested Resolution:IHOP should assign at least one staff member to monitor and assist at the takeout/delivery window at all times.A better system needs to be implemented to keep Dashers and delivery drivers updated on order status.Staff training on communication and customer service toward delivery partners should be prioritized.Thank you for your attention to this matter. My family and I visited the IHOP on **************** in ** for breakfast on June 15, 2025. Our waitress was clearly intoxicated at work in front of my two small children and forgot about our food for a long time and gave it to us cold. Due to her being intoxicated around my children, I tipped her 5$ on 62.09$ total. My husband and I discussed her behavior and although we typically tip 20% I decided I only wanted to tip out the kitchen. So I clearly remember tipping the 5$ on $62.09 and wrote down the total in my notes on my phone that I keep for my bills. The next day June 16, 2025 a charge from IHOP came out for $75.09. I never authorized any charge for $75.09 from my card. When I reached out to the general manager, he proceeded to tell me it was a mistake that she wrote in $13 instead of 5$. I told him I did not believe this was a mistake and I would like to see the receipt they are required to keep with my signature on it and the 5$ tip I wrote, not the forged amount. When he could not produce this receipt and told me the waitress threw it away, so he suspected it might actually be fraud. I then asked who they were going to report her to for forgery and asked for a full refund. I was told by the general manager that I would receive a full refund and he gave me the regional managers name and number to reach out to about the waitress committing fraud at that location. ***** ****, the regional manager, hung up on me when I asked about the fraud? He also told me they gave me a full refund and he could do nothing else before he hung up on me. He also told me he had no idea what the corporate number was.I googled the corporate number and Ive reached out to them multiple times to receive my full refund of $75.09. They place the blame on the local management and say they can do nothing. I saw a credit of $20 today on my account but thats what I am due. I want my full refund of $75.09 as well as my review posted that fraud may be happening at this location.Initial Complaint

I went to have breakfast at the IHOP located at ************************************* and when I was ignored by the hostess for 10 minutes and then she seemed very angry and gave me a lot of attitude I was eventually seated. Then after waiting over ******************************************************************** took my order- I walked out. It's no wonder why there were only two tables with customers there. On 6/1/25 I went to Ihop and attempted to use a discount card for a 20% discount on my bill. I was told by the waitress that the card was no longer being honored even though it was still not expired yet. I purchased a discount card from Powerhouse Fundraising and in it is stated a discount for Ihop. The discount card specifically states only the ihop at this address is good for the 20% discount. How can they be allowed to pick and choose what offers to honor and which ones to diregard?Initial Complaint

I contacted the business and filed a complaint via their website, as the meal ordered was extremely chewy. I was contacted by the location manager and told I would be mailed a gift card for $30.00. After a week, I still had not received my gift card. I called the manager back and asked for an update, and I was told, I will call you back. On May 30, 2025 I was visiting an Applebees in order to use my gift certificate. I looked online for the address and I noticed they had happy hour advertised for appetizers and drinks from 3 to 6 and 9 to close. I placed an order and waited for the remaining guests to arrive. They arrived at 5:45 and ask the server what the advertised happy hour consisted of and the server said only a few select drinks are on the special, we quit doing half price apps. I was shocked Applebees franchise participates in that special across the board, as it is their signature claim to fame. I asked to speak to a manager. He came to the table and saidhe was new and gave me the number to file a complaint, which I have heard nothing back from the larger, entity. This Applebees was deceptive with there advertising and this is a form of baiting to get customers Im and they went against the franchises advertised happy hour special..Business Response

Our promotions vary by location due to franchise ownership, and they should have a GM or Area Director reaching out to the guest to offer resolution & information between today and Monday at the latest.
