Business Name: Voro Motors ***********, ** Product Purchased: EMOVE Cruiser ********** Scooter Purchase Date: April 21, 2025 Purchase Price: $2,024.89 I purchased a brand new EMOVE Cruiser V scooter from Voro Motors *********** location. Immediately upon pickup, I noticed the bumper was broken. When I requested a new scooter or even a new bumper, the company refused and only offered to replace the part.Within 20 minutes of riding, the scooter began making a clicking sound. When I returned to the store, staff acknowledged that other people had the same issue and removed a pin. Shortly after, I experienced a stability issue, which they addressed by installing a damper. Most recently, I received an Error Code 2 Resistant on Motor and was told the controller was faulty another part that had to be replaced.Despite all these problems occurring within two months of purchase, Ive been charged multiple labor and service fees. The scooter has had ongoing mechanical issues from day one, and it appears to be defective. *** reviewed online complaints and customer reviews, and my experience seems to reflect a pattern of similar customer concerns.Resolution Requested:I am asking for either:A full refund of $2,024.89, including any labor/service fees,OR A brand new replacement scooter free from defects.Voro Motors has been unprofessional in their handling of this situation, and I am seeking BBB assistance in resolving this matter.

    Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint and address the concerns raised by Mr. ***** *****.

First and foremost, were genuinely sorry to hear that this customer has had a frustrating experience with their EMOVE Cruiser V, and we want to assure both the customer and the ******************** that we take these matters seriously.

We acknowledge that the customer reported a damaged bumper shortly after pickup, and in line with our standard policy, we offered a replacement part at no additional cost. While we understand the customers preference for a full unit replacement, our policy, consistent with industry standards, is to repair or replace specific  parts unless there is clear evidence of a major defect that cannot be resolved.

Since the purchase, our **************** has been accommodating and responsive in addressing the issues reported. We have assisted the customer multiple times, and each action was taken with the goal of resolving the specific concerns the customer was experiencing.

Nonetheless, we understand the customers frustration and regret any inconvenience caused during this process.

At Voro Motors, we follow clearly defined warranty and service procedures to ensure fairness and consistency for all customers. However, we also aim to be reasonable and customer-focused when special circumstances arise.

As a next step, we would like to invite the customer to bring the scooter back to our *********** during store hours  (9AM-5PM) on a weekday. Our senior technicians will perform a full diagnostic, and well review the history of service in person. Were happy to discuss all possible resolutions at that time, including a more in-depth assessment of the customers request for replacement, should it be warranted based on our findings.

Our goal is not only to stand behind our products but also to support our customers long after the purchase. We remain committed to finding a fair and constructive resolution.

I bought a refurbished electric scooter for ******* usd, Emove roadrunner, at Voro motors on July 03 2025. The scooter runs 80 miles per hour. The agent on the phone verbally falsely advertised stating that the scooter is reliable, durable and very steady and that I wouldnt have any issues even with a missing damper, ( damper is an extra piece that adjusts to the front wheel to control high speeds) my house is really far from that location so I told them Id ride it home and they guaranteed safety. Hitting the 35 miles per hr, the scooter starts to wobble and I almost fell and could have injured myself. I called and informed and mentioned a refund by they insisted in calling me back tomorrow. I was never told or informed by any matter that there is no refunds on refurbished items. I never got a phone call back and just yesterday my scooter had a check engine light on and was not running anymore. I called multiple times, sent messages and left voice messages and they never answered or got back to me. My girlfriend called with her phone and they answered her in a heart beat, thats where I learned that they were avoiding me at all cost. I have call logs as proof. They insist in taking the scooter back to get it fixed but refused refund due to policy. I want a refund because the scooter never really worked and it was a danger to me since the first day of purchase due to their verbal false advertisement. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and also refused by telling me they were busy in meetings. This scooter has brought me problems since day one due to its defectiveness and now I cant get my money back.

On Dec 27, 2024, I crashed while riding my Emove Roadrunner Pro, purchased just weeks earlier on Nov 3, 2024. Roughly 8 minutes into my commute, the handlebars suddenly stiffened, then locked up completely, causing me to be violently thrown off the scooter. I was riding in a bike lane, and luckily there were no cars aroundhad this happened in traffic, it could have been much worse. I suffered a broken arm, deep bruising, and road rash. I couldnt work from the day of the accident until late March 2025. I wore a sling for 6 weeks, had no use of my dominant arm, and struggled with basic tasks like dressing, driving, or lifting anything. I'm still in physical therapy, working to regain full mobility. On Jan 6, I contacted VoroMotors, shared GoPro footage of the crash, and explained the extent of the injury. On Jan 13, they responded, asking me to take the scooter to Inokim NYC for inspection. They said they would cover labor costs and provide any needed replacement parts to resolve the issue. Due to my injury, I couldnt physically transport the scooter until late March. The technician found no defect in the bearings or electrical systems but believed the likely cause was a sudden flat front tire, which could have triggered the steering lock. The total repair cost was $350.54, including a new front tire, front fender, and labor. I followed up with VoroMotors, submitted the receipt and explained how the crash affected my health and finances. Despite promising to help, they offered only a $100 gift card and then stopped responding. I made multiple attempts to follow up, but they went silent. This incident occurred barely two months after purchase. I had been excited to use this scooter as a reliable, eco-friendly way to commute. Instead, I was injured, unable to work for months, left with medical expenses and repair costsand was essentially dismissed by the company I trusted. They failed to take responsibility for a serious product issue and the hardship that followed.

I purchased the ********************************** scooter from VoroMotors on December 5, 2024, for a total of $2,950.14. The product was advertised as all-weather capable, with an IPX6 rating for the body and IPX7 for the battery, which I saw directly on the Voromotors website.Within just six days of ownership, the scooter began showing error code 217, which required the sinewave controllers to be replaced. On January 27, 2025, I began receiving error codes 102 and 202, which were traced to the motorsand both motors were subsequently replaced under warranty. This all occurred within the first two months of ownership.Shortly after, the same 202 error returned, and this time, I was informed that the warranty was void due to water damage. However, I only used the scooter under real-world conditions, including light wet/muddy terrainconditions the scooter was advertised to handle. There was no submersion or misuse.Nowhere was it communicated that core components like the motors werent protected to the advertised water resistance standard. If certain parts are more vulnerable, that should be disclosed up frontnot used later as a reason to void a warranty. While VoroMotors did resolve the initial controller and motor issues, they are refusing to cover the current repair under warranty, citing water damage that should be protected under the advertised IP rating. I am seeking either a full repair under warranty or a replacement, as I have not been able to enjoy this product without repeated failures.

It's been over two months since I made my order for a scooter charger and I still haven't received it. They shipped it a month late, then they claim it was delivered but I never got it. I've been following up with them waiting for them to send a replacement, but a month later they still haven't sent one. They originally said they would first file a claim with **** and then send me a replacement when they come to a resolution, even if the **** denied the claim. But they are now going back on their guarantee.Their **** claim is further being delayed by avoidable mistakes. Their first claim was for damage rather than a lost package and I had to call **** to clarify. They then submitted a new claim and its been weeks and still no resolution.I'm not sure what their insurance claim has to do with sending me a replacement with a signature required to ensure I receive it. This is not an expensive item, I paid $49 plus shipping, which likely cost them less than $10 to manufacture, yet they are still resisting sending a replacement. It's shocking that they made over $1400 from the scooter order, but are making a big deal about a $50 charger.

I purchased a ************************ scooter from Voro Motors on 12/02/24. It was delivered on 12/11/24. I paid $1095 for it. The specifications on the website have been drastically reduced since the time of purchase. The maximum rider weight was listed at 352lbs and now the website lists 220lb maximum. The older *** ***** weight: ******************************************************** This product comes with a 1 year limited warranty. After speaking with support, I requested a refund on 01/02/25. I met their policies requirements to return the product. They proceeded to tell me that my warranty may be voided for experiencing exposure to water despite it being rated IPX6. They tried to close my support ticket on 1/05/24 claiming I had not responded. I was informed that I was going to have a 20% restocking fee despite the scooter being unsafe to ride. On 01/07/25 they told me I'd have to wait 5-7 days for to get an approval to return the scooter. I emailed on 1/16/25 asking about the return status as I had not heard back from them regarding the progress. The next day they told me that they're busy and we're still waiting for approval to return the scooter. On 1/22/25, I got another email from them stating they were going to close my ticket. I asked them not to. After that, they asked to schedule a video visit with me to troubleshoot the scooter. I felt this was an unreasonable request. I'm allergic to the scooter, I don't want to go anywhere near it. I just want it out of my home. They have made an unreasonable request of me which is not included in their return policies stipulations. They then went on to tell me that they could not accept my return without a clearer understanding of what is wrong with the scooter. I do not believe they have any intent to ever accept my return as they have literally tried to throw my case out every single step of the way.

I purchased a $2,723 electric scooter from Voro Motors on 8/5/2024 A few months later I had severe damage to the scooter due to hurricane *****. The battery and both motors were destroyed. Voro Motors refused to help in any way so I paid $950 for a new battery from Voro Motors but waited 2 Motors and Voro continued to to make excuses to why I hadn't received it. Always supply chain issues. So I canceled the order for a refund. I contacted a voro dealer affiliate to build a $1000 battery for me and also ordered 2 new motors costing another $1000. The dealer maxamps was more than helpful, he built the battery, but the Motors that were ordered 11/25/2024 Still haven't been received as of today 3/1/2025 with no explanation from Voro Motors other than the same lie "supply chain issues " ************ is out of control and corrupt
