Degoo provides services to house documents and pictures on the cloud. I got their 10TB plan with one time payment. I uploaded all my pictures from several years on Degoo without keeping a copy since Degoo claims to be cloud service and we won't lose our pictures. On Feb 7th, they sent me a BOT email that some of the files are infringing copyrights and that they will delete my account (not just the files) on Feb 14th. They did not give me a full list of files. Then I tried to find and delete the files but their services were not working. For e.g. I searched for all files with extension .mp3 and it would not bring up all the files. I appealed to them about this on Feb 13th. I got an immediate and automated response that my appeal was declined. Then I wrote on Feb 13th regarding their intent to do with my account. I told them that they cannot be serious about deleting all my files and that I need a little more time. I did not get a response. I also wrote through their website and no response. On Feb 14th, they delete my account and ALL my files. Not just the files that allegedly infringe copyrights. I paid for services to save my files and they deleted my files. This is unconscionable. I need them to make it right by reinstating my account and ALL my files. I purchased a lifetime subscription with Degoo. I backed up a lot of photos and files over the years to my Degoo account which was supposed to be 10TB . Recently I received a violation of service email which stated I had copyright infringement files on the account. The specifically stated which file violated their policy, which was some music files from years ago. I went into my account and deleted all files which were in violation. Soon after i appealed and let them know I deleted stated files , they terminated my account and deleted all files . I had years of pics and files that were being backed up on my account. Im looking to get my files back !!! There are numerous complaints of the same online, many people accounts have been wiped out. Please remedy this situation!!!Initial Complaint

Company sells storage space (I purchased lifetime 10TB package), then when you use service they claim copyright violation (Companies allow you to backup copies of purchased video titles for your own use), which is what supposedly they cancelled my account for. Had never shared files with thier service, and was using for my own use only. When they gave me a warning I IMMEDIATELY removed them from my backup set (Have backed up on hardware instead. This company never responded when thier "bot" issued warning and ban. Blatently a bait and switch to not honor once funds are received.Initial Complaint

On 3/9/2022 I purchased a lifetime 10TB Degoo Premium account for $95 and proceeded to upload my 20 years of my personal photos to the backup service. As a programmer, I also uploaded a backup of all my coding files. Included in the files was a website I made for a friend and his band including copies of one of his albums which you could stream from the website. On 2/7/2023 Degoo sent me an account violation email telling me my account would be terminated in 7 days. I filed an appeal with them explaining the situation and they cancelled my account anyway. There is no further available course of action for me on their site. My account is gone. My files are gone. There is no number to call. There is no email to reply to. This is clearly an ongoing scam the company is doing and should be stopped.Initial Complaint

I have purchased a lifetime account with Degoo, pay one time and account for lifetime. I got a notice that I have copyright infringement music on my account. I immediately removed all music which was flagged as copyright infringement. I sent four support tickets saying that they only provided a partial list and need the full list to make sure I'm compliant with their terms. I then removed all music on the account just to be sure. And stated in support ticket. They terminated my account and no longer can login in.Initial Complaint

Degoo sold me lifetime storage through Stacksocial. But once enough months had passed that I could not ask for a refund on my card, they emailed me about that they had uploaded a few mp3 files (through their automatic upload tool, without me asking for it in any way) and that I had three days to prove that I owned them or they would delete years of family pictures. I deleted every mp3 file on my Degoo storage. They deleted all family pics anyway. B*******Initial Complaint

This company promotes "lifetime subscriptions" and zero knowledge encryption that only users can access their cloud storage, only after less than a year, they access my files without any consent and permission then fraudulently claiming copyrighted material voids the service, then try to terminate the lifetime account. Sent many requests for answers but no responses. They lure people into the so call lifetime subscription then break their promise of zero knowledge encryption, randomly pick any files to say you don't own those files, allege you violate their policy, the so call appeal is a joke, no one will actually respond you. Like many others mentioned, they, in essence, are stealing people's money in a long-term scam.Initial Complaint

I have a monthly subscription with degoo.All of a sudden on 27-Jan-23, they sent a mail, that *.mp3.bak file (6 files) are violating copyright.This is complete baseless, as 1. The mp3 file was a religious discourse, and were bought legally. If Degoo thought it was illegal, then why they didnt flag the actual *.mp3 file? In fact, there several files on the same religious discourse, by many saints, all are legal software.2. Degoo also assured me that they will give me at 7 days time to download the files, in case they ever decide to close my account, but never did.( I have email copy).3. I have personal health related files and removing access (for my back issues was I have a debilitating spinal cord injury), has left me with no option to recover back, important information/practices.Initial Complaint

This company claims to securely store your files and offers lifetime subscriptions to do so. In my case, and countless others (outlined across the internet) they trolled my files and shut down my account with little notice for "violations". It is clear to me that this is their business model, and there is no recourse. My "violation" was a borrowed library book. Please be warned - if you buy a lifetime storage package, you will be contacted ******* in 1 year for "violations" and will be shut down.Initial Complaint

Degoo offered a free account boasting 100GB of storage, with claims such as "world class cloud storage" and "upload all your photos and files and never risk losing them". These are of course hooks to lure people to their service and then try to turn a profit off their upgraded offerings or advertisements/activities.But in recent years they have begun chipping away at their promises and services- eliminating support for PC programs, limiting file numbers and sizes, and instituting a policy of account deletion if you are not active regularly. There is also a growing number of users, both paid and free, that have found their accounts unilaterally terminated for ambiguous copyright claims without any details or recourse and of course without any refund.They abruptly reduced users to 20GB within the last month, threatening consumers with total account deletion if the user did not promptly ********* seems to me this company has taken their funds and focus and moved on to new ventures. They are promoting their new service "Instabridge" on their Degoo website. This unfortunately has left consumers with decreasing support and services. It seems unjust to take their profits and taper off their promised lifetime offerings. I have written multiple times to support in recent weeks hoping to get additional information on their ominous messages threatening file loss and account deletion but have received no response.I have been a user of ********************** for over five years, and in that time participated in countless activities that have earned the company income (and they in turn rewarded my participation by giving me increased cloud storage capacity). Over the years I upgraded my account to be entitled to 1.1 TB of cloud storage (of which I am currently using **** GB, or 2% of that quota), which I received written assurances from Co-Founder and CEO ******************* that the space was permanent. However I am now threatened with data and account loss.
