    I reserved the car online for a spring break trip that I took with my goddaughter and her disabled mother (15 March 2024). When I arrived at the rental car desk (with a copy of my reservation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and the credit card I reserved the car with) they refused to give me the car I rented unless I provide them my SSN so that they could run a "credit check" on me. I let them know that the car was already paid for because my card had been charged the full amount ($397), so there was no need for a credit check. I was told by the rental car employee that if I didn't write the number down and give it to him so he could perform the credit check, that he wouldn't provide me with a rental car, and I could go to another rental car company and try to get one from them. My friend and her daughter went to **** and rented a car from them while I was having the argument with the Dollar employee about my refusal to provide my SSN to him on paper. Once my friend and her daughter came back with an **** Contract, and car ************, the Dollar employee said that he would refund my money since he realized I wasn't giving in to his unreasonable request. Fast forward 3 week with a lot of back and forth between myself and their "help desk" , now they are telling me that they won't refund my $397 but will not give me a valid explanation as to why. This is a horrible way to treat a customer!!

    Cunning vendor. Lured me with 48-hour cancellation but without confirmation of local rental company (partner) until only 12 hours before no more cancellation Once I saw the company (partner) NU Car Rental, I checked and the reputation is horrible. Immediately called Wisecars and request cancellation because rental partner's bad reputation. Lo and behold, no refund or cancellation was offered.Going to request credit card company for charge back.Wish there's a way BBB.org offer review rating fraudulent companies

    Dear Anthony, We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Our records indicate that you requested to cancel after the 48-hour free cancellation window had closed. Unfortunately, after this time, we are obligated to pay the supplier for the booking, which is why we can no longer provide free cancellation. Additionally, our records show that we sent an email with the supplier's name more than 48 hours before the free cancellation window closed.
