My gym membership with Crunch Fitness ends on 7/6/25, and I called to cancel the membership on 7/4/25. I am blind. At inception (6/6/25), I informed the Crunch Fitness agent that I was blind. Crunch Fitness did not make it clear to me that the membership had an 'extended' membership of two months before being able to cancel said membership. I am blind. Crunch Fitness did not make it clear to me and make me fully aware of such a policy (Two Months mandatory membership) at inception. Staff then, Crunch Fitness, ridiculed me for being blind and unaware of its policy. There are State and Federal laws surrounding contracts and the blind. Hence, it is abusive of Crunch Fitness to impose questionable and coercive policies upon a blind Senior Citizen, of which I am both. I further submit that Crunch Fitness is out of compliance with these (laws for the blind) laws. On 4 July 2025 (two days before my membership was to expire (6 July) and two days before billing (6 July)), Crunch Fitness charged my card $41.99 without my permission. Resolution: 1) Crunch Fitness to immediately refund to me the $41.99, due to Crunch Fitness not making me (a blind senior citizen man) fully aware of its membership policies, and 2) Crunch Fitness to provide a separate donation to a charitable organization for the blind.Initial Complaint

They charged my credit card without my permission. My son had canceled subscription 5 / 6 months ago which they did not process cancelation. I didn't sign any forms where they were allowed to charge my card. I believe is fraud when they charge your card without your consent.Initial Complaint

My gym membership with Crunch Fitness ends on 9/27/24 and to cancel the membership, according to their policy there are only teo options, go into the original gym and cancel physically or send an email and so I sent Crunch Fitness an email on 9/4/27 to cancel my membership with i am out of contract. Usually the contract ends and thats it. Crunch charged me a $49.99 maintenance fee which I was never told about and an additional fee totaling $73.98. I feel this charge was unfair as i am out of contract, I was never told about any type of fee while out of contract and my email to this day has never been replied to. I have never been contacted and I have sent a few emails. Crunch should notify all members that once they are out of contract, fees will be charged.Initial Complaint

On April 25, 2024, at approximately 1215p, I was approached by manager *****, as I was leaving the gym. He stated to me that while I was working out upstairs, he said 3 women told him that I was recording them. I asked him why did he not say this to me while I was working out. He said he didnt want to disturb me because I was working out. I then got upset because if Im working out, how then can I record these women? I feel violated because this is completely out of character for me; I have never recorded anyone and I am not comfortable even returning back to this establishment. I am a faithful, committed patron, as I frequent this business daily. Also, I would like to see the video where these women complained to him, because what mannerisms had I shown to make someone believe or think this. I believe these accusations are both untrue and can be found without merit. I would like an apology and compensation for being made out to be a pervert. I will more-than-likely not return.Initial Complaint

In April or *** of 2021, i began a membership contract with Crunch Fitness of Palmdale, California. I had two accounts on my billing cycle, mine and my ex partner. I moved back home to *******, ** July of that same year. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer a month later. I froze my account and understood that if it is frozen it extends my contract until the freeze comes off. My ex and i ended our relationship and i called this facility to ensure his account was no longer my problem. I was told he would be contacted and it would be handled. My mother passed away January of 2022, and it was not until August that i noticed on my bank statement that i had been paying for both accounts still. I called again, i was told that it would be handled if i email them. I did. *************** Called multiple times and was told the same thing. To email and it would be handled. This went on for months until the final email i recieved that asked why i am removing the account. It was *** of 2023 i emailed and called to cancel my own account when i found out they cancelled my account previously and my exs account was still active. I requested a refund, and i was told a corporate request would be filed and give it a month for a reply from this facility. I called multiple times in between and emailed. Two months went by and nothing. So i called them again and was given information that had never been spoken nor written to me, and ultimately told i would not recieve a refund. It is elementary to come to the conclusion that until my account was finally closed, i would be driven in circles until the very last ***** could be milked from my account during that time. A year of this level of unproffesionalism is unacceptable. I demand a response, i demand an apology, and i demand my refund. Please help me. I look forward to hearing from you. This cannot happen to anyone else.Initial Complaint

I moved away from Palmdale, CA to ****, ** out of state, 400 miles away. I attempted to stop my membership several times and in several ways. I don't need the membership and I'm under no contract! The business does not accept cancellations over the phone or online. I have repeatedly called, responded to their emails, and texts requesting for my membership to be cancelled! They refuse to do it and keep saying I need to come in and pay them! I don't owe them anything! I cancelled months ago! Now they are threatening me by saying they're turning me into collections when I have 7 emails, 2 texts, and 4 calls I've made requesting a cancellation. This is not how you do business. It's disgusting. Stop. I owe you nothing.Customer Answer

***Document Attached***
Called the business on 1/18 as they texted me again after I requested that they not do any longer. I was told by the customer service manager that I didn't "cancel in the right way." I emailed the manager as they requested and STILL today they contacted me telling me I owe them fees and they still have not cancelled my account!

Horrible service from ****** in ********* *** ****** me for their not being available to cancel. I called 8-24-22, they told me I had to cancel in person. I went in person on my lunch on 8-25-22, 330p and no managers available. They were in a meeting. I was given an email to just cancel online (so I didn't have to do it in-person, after all). I sent it 8-26-22. The charge would have been 9-5-2022. I was charged the annual fee but not the regular
Gym membership. So does that mean they WERE able to stop it and forgot to cancel that fee?! Horrible **** person. He said
It's My fault for not sending the email the day I went it. Really?! I did exactly what I was told to do over the phone and THEIR management was not available after I waited awhile. ABSOLUTELY NOT MY FAULT! I was told I still had time, no worries. I see lots of others had horrible experience also. I called to ask them to credit my son's account, the same amount I was wrongfully charged, trying to make it easier. He ******** was NOT trying to find a solution. He was being very ****** not like a confident ******* who knows how to handle issues. Very ********* He needs to be
****** I had no contract
