We rented a home from Palm Springs Vacation Rentals at *** * ******* ********** **** ******* for the month of March 2023. I had rented this home from this rental agency on two previous occasions prior to Covid. The home was very satisfactory on the two previous occasions On this occasion the home had deteriorated with significant maintenance issues outstanding. It was in no way comparable the home we had rented previously or as advertised on the companies web site. Some significant issues: 1. There is only one large window in the front of the house to see outside. The motorized blind was down and we were told it would not be repaired. We could not see out of the front of the house for our entire months stay Picture available 2. The pool - a major feature of the house, especially for grand children The pool light would not work thus from a safety perspective precluded swimming at night - a major disappointment for our grandchildren The bottom of the pool was fractured, a major safety hazard. Our 7 year old grandchild cut her foot on the hazard. This was reported in a September 2021 Airbnb review The pool was contaminated with algae the majority of our tenancy thus for a considerable time precluding any swimming Pictures available 3. Mountain view. The home advertises “glorious mountain views from the pool deck” - which we enjoyed in the first two tenancies. There was no mountain view as the hedge had not been trimmed for a significant time. We asked for the hedge to be trimmed with no results Picture available We met with several members of the companies staff over the month with no results I have emailed the Vice President of the company, ****** ******* ********************** several times with no reply Copies of the email attached It is not fair or reasonable that the rental agency/owner should receive 100% of the advertised rental rate when the very serious deficiencies were not corrected
