We moved in to a vacation rental managed by McLean’s( now called Poppy’s) at Ocotillo Lodge unit 311. They obviously had not inspected the unit before we moved in for 2 1/2 months. There was no mail key and no directions on how to get in to the mail room. There were no general directions for the complex. The recreation room and library room had no key. There was a leak from the kitchen faucet which also dripped down to the cabinet below. The garbage disposal smelled of mold. There was 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, 2 bowls and 2 glasses, 4 plates, no pot holders or kitchen knives or can openers. The bathroom faucets constantly drip and the shower faucets do not work properly and are dripping into the wall, so the wall has water damage. There were 2 vacuum cleaners of which only one worked, but had no bags. There were no mops. The bedroom closet slider didn’t work properly. One couch had no back cushions and both were filthy. The blinds in the kitchen, living room and bedroom did not work properly and fall apart or are missing pieces. The patio furniture had broken chairs. The rug was filthy and also had elevated folds in the walking areas. The bbq canister was empty. We spent over a week having various people come in and repair these things. Things that are still not fixed include the shower and shower wall which must have black mold. The living room slider will no longer open. The carpet guard to the bathroom is lifting. The tv cabinet’s back side is broken. The blinds still fall apart and are not working properly. We have had many conversations with the property management team, especially Natalia L**** Our suggestion to her is that they have an inspection list that has to be gone over before the unit is rented.
