We had a misting system installed in October of 2020 by this business. From not measuring properly the first time an employee was sent out to quote the job which led to a huge misquote, to what looked like a leak problem recently, we did not have the greatest experience with resolving the issues. It took the Owner personally coming out to get the correct quote, which resolved that issue as we moved forward to installation, but also meant that we had to start from scratch twice to get it installed. In regards to the recent experience, we determined that there was moisture and some slight leaking going on at the underside of the motor unit. It was called in and set up for a technician to come and evaluate and fix anything amiss this morning, between the hours of 8 to 10 AM. At after 10 AM with no-one showing up and calling us that they were here (we thought), we called the office of Modern Misting Systems, and spoke to the individual who answered the phone, who identified herself as an Owner of the Company. She asked if we had turned on the misters to see of they were fixed, which caused us great consternation as the only access on the property was either through the home, our preferred way, or through a dedicated area to our canine pets. So we looked at the unit, and indeed there is something not explained to us now installed in the way of what looks like an outflow hose off the motor unit. That of course means that someone decided to take the legal liability of walking through our property unannounced, possibly leaving things where we could have lost our pets off property, and without being given access, and, I guess, fixed and left without identifying themselves to us at all. The least worst thing is setting up for us to be here in a window of time on property, and not even calling at any time during that window to get access, determine cause, get an authorization to fix, and explain the issue. The worst thing would have been the loss of dear family pets due to someone not doing what would be expected from any service company, or even possibly their employees getting harmed by said pets, which is a huge legal liability. From a customer service viewpoint, when the call was made after 10 AM about them not showing up in the window given us, and a self avowed Owner is on the phone justifying these actions with an explanation that "they have several calls to make and don't have the time to announce themselves" is a terrible way to handle a disappointed client. It was also said that the technician had rung our doorbell three times, but again, no doorbell heard, and a simple cell phone call would have been shorter than supposedly ringing a doorbell multiple times anyway. To have them go on to essentially say they don't care and have every right to just come onto someone's private property, is not only bad customer service, but also a huge legal issue that they are creating for their clients unnecessarily. I have no confidence in the installed system now only due to their mishandling of more than one instance of dealing with them, especially since the "fix" looks like something that should have been installed in the first place, b ack when the installation I paid for in October 2020 was accomplished.
