            i missed an appointment, and understood there is a missed appt fee - this is not an issue. i was told i was sent to collections within 1 week of that missed appointment. no mail correspondence, no phone call. just straight to collections 7 days later.

            Mother missed a vet appointment in 2017, (fee of $47 for missed appointments) got a bill today for $197.50. This business was demanding she pay it today or else they will send it to collections. They told her that they have sent her notices via mail, but she had never received any of them. She visited that same vet hospital multiple times after that missed appointment and was required pay all the fees before she left, not once had they brought up that she had an unpaid invoice that needed to be resolved. Threatening to pay by sending this to collections because she is questioning why this was not brought to her attention the multiple times she was there after is unprofessional. She is trying to see where the disconnect was because the appointment name was under her maiden name(which she does not use), but the address was the same. She requested to speak with the owner so she can make some sense of this, staff stated it was the doctor and she was busy. She then asked if there was someone in charge of billing and payments and they gave her a name, but could not tell her when she would be available. She should have some explanation before just dishing out her credit card info and $197.50.
