            Dignity Health St. John's Medical Center in Oxnard has great doctors and an absolutely awful business center. I have been in a fight with them for months, concerning a bill that I paid many months ago. Despite my having offered proof of payment on many occasions, the billing office seems to be too thick to understand that the copay has been long taken care of. I have spent hundreds of hours and sent numerous copies of the paid copay, yet the hospital insists they have no record of payment. The amount they are asking for, $39.50, is absolutely trivial. I have shown them receipts indicating this amount has been paid, yet they insist on harassing me for this amount. They made the mistake (perhaps their billing agency entered the amount in the wrong place) and yet they can't seem to understand that the receipts showing the bill was paid are in their hands. The system of billing and payments, not to mention interminable waits on the phone, are a black eye for this hospital, and their methods are repugnant and wholly disappointing.
