Stay away from Appliance *************** it's a scam business! Our water/ice stopped working on our GE fridge, however there were still green lights on panel. A very unfriendly service tech showed up, took one look and told me I needed a new dispenser switch. Price to install - $545. I declined and paid the $85. After easy research (thanks ********* found the real problem was a corroded wire underneath fridge, easy fix and I'm sure he knew it. And by the way, I researched dispenser switches and they are a FRACTION of what he told me the switch would cost. SO, net net, he was either going to collect $85 for doing nothing, or $545 for doing a modest job. Go with a well known local service company!!!!

Unfortunately. ******************* did not reach out to the company directly to inform us about the experience she had. We have a company policy that if our tech misdiagnosed the problem, we help customer to get a refund on the service fee. It is a simple procedure: customer needs to inform the office and provide a copy of the invoice from a licensed company/tech stating the problem with the appliance, parts replaced and that the appliance is in a good working order. We help customer to initiate a misdiagnose claim and get the refund. **** ******* can reach out to us and provide evidence (not a ******* video), proof of repair by another vendor, and we will issue a refund for ***** fee.

I have a 5 year old ** profile oven that had a lower oven cooling fan error message. This happened the day before thanksgiving. Went to the ** care website and logged a ticket. Response was that they could have someone out on the 27th of November at a particular time. I agreed and a technician came out, did his diagnosis and confirmed the fan was toast. He said hed order a replacement and get back to me. Estimate was around $470, of which I paid 200 by cheque. Was notified on dec 5 that hed be back at a particular time to finish the repair on the 6 th of December. He showed up at the promised time and did the repair. Wrote a cheque for the remaining amount after confirming with him the oven was no longer generating an error. I have read some of the reviews on this company and I must say I have NO complaints about the way my issue was addressed. Have used the oven and can confirm it works as it should.

Do your research with this company. No website, no local address, no local phone number. ******* Cares gave me a few options in my area to call for a washer repair. When I called this company to schedule a repair they didn't even bother to show up to diagnose the issue, just over the phone. With that, shame on me but boy was I desperate to believe what they were selling. I gave the technician a deposit via credit card and was told that it would be two weeks (the magic phrase) to get the part in. Two weeks come and go and then another and then another and then another. The company WILL NOT give you any updates, you have to literally pull teeth to get ANY information. Do yourself a favor and pay via Credit Card. They may charge a service fee but when they don't deliver you have recourse and can file a "Fraud Claim" with your credit card company. Let them have to deal with this scam when they do not provide the service you have paid for. If I could assign a negative star rating I would.

***************** failed to mention in her review that her stove was fixed by our tech and it is in a good working order. She also failed to mention that the part for the washer that we have not received as of right now is still on a national back order with ******** ***************** was updated several times about the part still being back ordered. Unfortunately manufacturer/distribitors do not update info very often and back order dates are subject to change by the manufacturer without notification. If we were given initial eta for delivery 2 weeks and the dates were pushed back, this is not a fault of the repair company and the tech. The last update that we recived form the distributor was on 10/17 and the needed part is still on the back order, with possible eta of 2 weeks. Not sure where ***************** was scammed by our company, but she cancelled repairs and stopped the payment on the credit card.

THIS BUSINESS IS A COMPLETE SCAM FOLKS! I know by now you have probably read allllllllllllll of the customer complaints about this "company". They are truly crooks and I hope they are formally investigated soon! They will schedule an appointment with you, collect the consultation fee (in our family's case $200 for a non-working oven), give you some reason why the work cannot be completed that day, and then never ever ever return calls or actually show up to complete the work you needed done. And what they do is collect the initial service / inspection fee using apps like Venmo or Cashapp which makes it impossible to file a fraud claim with your bank. And apps like ***** will tell you that they cannot reconcile or reverse the transaction because their apps are intended to be used between TRUSTED friends and businesses that you know. This was a huge ****** for us. By the way, Smith Brothers Appliance Repair is also known as APPLIANCE SERVICERS UNION. Their so-called customer service number starts with ****** (can't list the entire number here) but they will only give you the run around - promising a call back or scheduling a "technician" to come back out and finish the work. It never happens. The technician never shows up and a supervisor never calls. They did this to us for weeks. Initial service call was for 11/22/22. It is now 1/24/23. I finally realized they were scammers after coming across this page and all their customer scam stories found at this address: ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************.

URGENT! DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS! These thieves are operating in **************** too. Under the same BS name: APPLIANCE SERVICERS UNION, License #******. I made an online order to have my washing machine looked at. A tech, *****, showed at the correct time window, spent 5 minutes looking at the washer and told me a new lid lock mechanism was needed. $341 + tax to install (I have since ordered the part myself from Amazon for $35). He took a deposit of $150 by check, and told me 5-7 business days. I called their number, ************, three different times to get an update on the part. Called on business days 5, 6 and then again on day 9. All three times , they would "call the tech and get back to me". No replies and no records of my previous phone calls...go figure. On business day 10 (two weeks, mind you) I received a phone call saying they could come out and install. I refused, told them do not call here and put a stop payment on the check. Not sure if it will work as the check was cashed the same day. I feel fortunate I only got scammed for $150. These people are garbage, stay as far away as possible and keep reporting them.

Our company works ONLY with authorized factory distrubutors to order parts. We do not buy anything from Amazon and can not be responsible for the qulity of the parts and give warranty. The customer was initially advised it will take 5-7 days minimum to get the parts and the office will call to schedule installation appointment. ********** the office with the phone calls about the parts, DOES NOT expedite the delivery unfortunately. Once the parts were ready, the office contacted the customer to schedule. The customer is accusing the company of theft. The ****** deposit that customer paid covered the ****** diagnostics fee for the tech's time and barely the shiping cost. The part was ordered by the tech paid in full and we had to pay the shipping cost twice, since customer refused to proceed with the ***********************. Accusing the business of stealing from the customer and calling the company crooks is unfair to say the least.

Mr.***** ******* ******'s complaint was addressed and a courtesy discount issued. The customer approved the estimate that was given by the tech, and opted for repairs. The complaint about estimate was initiated by the customer after the refrigartor was fixed by our tech and the food was saved. The customer never expressed any price concerns, when the tech was out at his property. If Mr. ****** felt the estimate qoated by the tech was high, he could have declind the repair and called another vendor.

$622 charge for 45 minutes work by a appliances tech! a brand new genuine ** part is $45, meaning he charge me $575 for 45 minutes work. why would they give me courtesy discount if the charges were justified. These people are out there to rip off the public. yes i agree to the charges while all of my fridge content was out and basically he cornered me and ripped me off. i am wondering what these people do to senior citizen and people who have no recourse. just read the reviews about this thief co.

DO *** USE APPLIANCE ********* UNION LICENSE #******, ***** came out to fix the freezer on my refrigerator. After cleaning the condenser, he said the problem was fixed, but ***** on the receipt that if he need to replace the ***, the initial $120.00 service call would be applied to the additional repairs. But now ***** refuses to come back and fix the freezer. I will have to get another repair company to really fix my freezer.

The complaint was addressed with the customer. The tech cleaned condenser coils that were clogged up and made compressor work overheated. The tech advised it was maintanance only and might not resolve the problem. There was a posibility that compressor was damaged. The customer was referred to the manufacturer for futher service. The 120.00 cleaning fee is refunded back to the customer.

This business is a total scam. We spent over $700 for them to fix our 2 year old GE refrigerator and 2 months later we had the exact same problem. **** made numerous phone calls to have them fix the problem. Technicians are schedule to show up and never do. We are told our situation has been escalated but we never get a call back. These people need to be shut down

Also known as Appliance Servicers Union. They do not honor their warranty. Refused to come and fix the identical problem and it was comfortably within the warranty timeline. Do not use this company. They can't be trusted. License # A45577

I was given this number through GE to fix my dryer. The repairman, Anthony came out and was nice enough but informed me that I needed a new Control Board on my LESS THAN 3 YEAR OLD GE DRYER - at a cost of $553. I was in shock - I've had dryers for 10 years without them breaking down. He suggested i call GE and see if they would send the part for free, and he would come back and install the new board. I called GE, they agreed to send a new board free of charge. I try to make an appointment over the phone with the owner and she informs me that because I got the part myself, they can't install the part. I argue with her that Anthony told me to get the part myself. Cut to Anthony making an appt to come out betweeen 10am and 2pm. 3pm No Anthony. 4pm No Anthony. Next day, they tell me he can't come. I watched a ******* video and installed the thing myself and I'm out $120 for Anthony's first visit. These people are the worst.

      Smith Brothers Appliance Repair Response

The company policy is not to install parts that customer purchased since no warranty can be provided for the job done. The tech's recommendation was a favor to the customer to minimize cost on the repair, and he committed to install the part that custoner provided. The scheduled appointment did not take place, since tech was running behind the schedule. The appointment was rescheduled, however tech's wife went into labor the next morning and we had to ask customer to postpone appointment again. Customer refused to reschedule, canceleld the service, treatened the dispatcher with a bad review on line. Anthony will honor his recommendation and instal the control board for the customer. The 120.00 service fee that customer paid, will apply towards the installation labor.
