I dropped off a motor and a deposit for 3500 to get a moter rebuild for a car back in June of 2021. I got every excuse known to man from dead or sick dogs to what seems like every family member he has passed away. Got the BAR involved they could not get a response from him. He has not returned any calls for 6 months and every time i seem to give up he reaches out only to ghost me for another 6 months. It seems to be a really common thing and surprised he is still in business. I just want my motor and money back.

I dropped an engine off with ***** Bessant (BEP) over 10 years who agreed to rebuild and upgrade an engine for one of my personal vehicles. There are invoices for money given to purchase parts and a long email and phone chain delaying progress. ***** has never provided photos, updates, or anything else and at this point, other than empty promises, I have considered the engine may have been sold, lost, or any number of things. I have made multiple attempts to stop by *****'s shops in **********, made arrangements to have the engine shipped back, etc. ***** always has excuses (death in the family, on vacation, son's wedding, etc.) and will give me the runaround without fulfilling any agreed upon compromises. All I wants is my engine back at this point, even if I paid for services that never occurred. ***** also has another engine from a project 15+ years ago that I paid for and never got back. ***** stated this engine was "in his storage and he had to dig it out" but I havn't heard anything since. He will answer and return my phone calls from time to time but then disappears for months. Looking at his other recent ****** reviews Id say im far from the only one going through this. Most of these parts I have dropped off with BEP have been out of production for 20+ years and are no longer available to even buy a replacement.

My son and I sought services with *****, the Owner of BEP performance, over a year ago. Every time we attempt to communicate with him, our phone calls go unanswered. When he does call us, he has an excuse about why he does not have the parts (cylinder heads and cam shaft). He has blamed health issues for himself and his wife. However, he is a business owner and if he is unable to perform his business, then he needs to return all parts and close the business. There are other reviews on ****** reflecting similar issues with other customers. We are in the same predicament and without these parts, my son cannot rebuild his car unless he spends the money to replace them.

I engaged BEP Performance on 11/1/22 to complete machining services. I dropped off several items to him (Engine Block, Crankshaft, Intake Manifold, Harmonic Balancer, *************** Flex Plate, Flywheel). On 11/24/22 I paid $1,712.07 for additional parts. On 1/24/23 I received a voicemail saying that things were going well and he anticipated that the work would be done soon. Since then I've called him over 45 times to check-in on progress. I received some calls back from him saying that the work was almost done and he would call me when it was ready. Around 5/26/23, I started leaving voicemails of times I would come to his shop to pick up my parts. He then started calling me back each time I suggested a time to tell me he wouldn't be there, providing a variety of reasons (car troubles, digestive issues, funerals, doctors appointments, etc.) without suggesting any alternatives, only saying he would call me to let me know when I could pick things up. I went to his shop on 6/28/23 and there was no answer to my knock. I waited in the parking lot and received a call while I was waiting there saying he wasn't at the shop. Most recently, I let him know I would come to his shop on 8/3/23. I received a call from him saying he wouldn't be there, but he would call me on 8/5/23 so I could pick up my parts. In that conversation he told me he had planned to go out of town for the weekend, but when I pressed him for a time I could come to pick up my parts, he said he had to go to a funeral in the morning and would call after. I called on 8/7, 8/8, and 8/9 and have not heard back from him. Given that the work I expected him to perform was fairly minor and he's confirmed that the work is done, I am assuming he stole both my money and my parts. These parts are not only monetarily valuable, but also hold sentimental value to me.
