    I went to Fountain Orthotics with appointment on 2/22/23 at 2:30PM. I needed a back brace wtih a prescription from a doctor.Fountain Orthotics address was ************************************************* ************* I was told my insurance has high deductible and was charged $945.80 for a back brace.However, later I found out, there wasn't any claim submitted to *************** and my deductible for In-Network provider is $0. I called Fountain Orthotics and explained the situation to get it corrected. I was transferred several times, each time, explaining the situation from scratch until I landed on last person with name ******. I asked her to credit $945.80 back and **** me for the 20% copay I am responsible for.I explained to her I confirmed with the insurance company and one of your other branches that the correct process is to submit a claim to insurance company first and **** patient for their responsible amount. She refused to make correction telling me what was charged can't be corrected.This business lied that I have high deductible when there is none, never submitted claim to insurance company and told me that ***************** will send me some money back and charged me incorrect amount.The business seems to be taking advantage of vulnerable patients in pain. Hope to get help from BBB to have them correct the issue and also please help to protect vulnerable patients in similar situation.
