    On 13 November 2021, I bought 2 Inateck USB 2.0/3.0 to IDE/SATA adapters. I then tested those adapters and they worked fine with the Asus M2N motherboard based computer I have. On 2 January 2022, I bought 2 more Inateck USB 2.0/3.0 to IDE/SATA adapters. I again then tested those additional adapters and they worked fine with the Asus M2N motherboard based computer I have. I now have a computer based on the Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard and all 4 of those Inateck adapters have a problem with that Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard but continue to work with the Asus M2N motherboard. The Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard is the later model motherboard and I need to get these adapters working with SATA drives on that motherboard. The problem these adapters have with the Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard is they don't work if the drive being connected is an SATA drive but otherwise work. I contacted Inateck technical support about this problem and the response I received couldn't be more of a "go pound sand" unhelpful response as for example: "...The product itself is working, but we cannot provide you with the specific reason why it cannot be displayed in the **** BIOS of the **** Prime A320M-K motherboard...Have a nice day...Best regards..."

    Regarding the complaint itself, Mr. ****** purchased the Inateck UA2001 USB 3.0 to IDE/**** adapter. After reviewing the details, we found that the product functioned correctly when connected to the Asus M2N motherboard with USB 2.0 ports. However, with the Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard (which has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports), all IDE devices function as expected, but the **** hard drive only works initially when the adapter is first used. After a few attempts, the **** drive no longer works.

    Given that the product works correctly with the Asus M2N motherboard (which only has USB 2.0 ports), we believe the issue may be related to the Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard or a potential compatibility issue. Since the complaint pertains to a purchase made in 2021, and our warranty period is one year with a 30-day free return policy, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer a return, exchange, or warranty service for this order at this time.

    I requested technical assistance to fix the problems I'm having with the Inateck USB adapter and I've received the brushoff in response, of which this response by the business is the latest example.  It would make sense this business has encountered a problem like this before and found a solution, but apparently the business doesn't want to share that information.

    To Mr. ***************** understand your frustration with the technical difficulties you are experiencing with the Inateck UA2001 USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA adapter. Based on the information you provided, the adapter appears to work correctly with your Asus M2N motherboard but encounters issues with the Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard, particularly with SATA drives. This suggests that the issue may be related to motherboard compatibility rather than a defect with the adapter itself.

    To ensure you have the best possible experience with our product, we recommend:

    Firmware and Driver Updates: Please confirm that your Asus Prime A320M-K motherboard is using the latest firmware and drivers for its USB ports. Compatibility issues can sometimes be resolved with these updates.
    Testing Different USB Ports: If possible, try connecting the adapter to a different USB port (such as a USB 2.0 port) on your system to see if that resolves the issue.

    Unfortunately, as the product was purchased in 2021, it falls outside of our one-year warranty and 30-day return policy. Given the time that has elapsed, we are unable to offer a replacement, refund, or additional support beyond these general recommendations.
