Bad business ethics - deceiting customer We had verbal agreement of paying $250 for running a snake through our bathroom sink and the snake has to be over 50ft. An additional $100 was added to run a camera through the pipe to see what the material of pipe is, any cracks or roots going through the pipe. A total of $350 was agreed upon for 2 services. Owner **** sent **** the plumber and assistant. **** tried snaking through the clean out from outside of the house but no luck, we used the pipe under the sink after removing the p-trap. The ****************************** couldnt even pass the first turning point. He then used a 75ft handheld motor snake and finally unclogged the blockage. Second service of putting in a camera through the pipe was attempted from under sink but it couldnt pass the first turning point. **** then tried to go through the cleanout but still no luck. He did not want to break the camera so he decided to stop before he can get a clear view of our pipe and provide any information to me. I was monitoring throughout all process but do not know what he reported to ****. **** told me I had to pay $300 ($50 deducted from the agreed total of $350) since they cannot finish the camera job. I only wanted to pay $250 because they did not render the full service agreed with the camera. I spoke to **** on the phone and he claimed that our pipe was too narrow (2 pipe) so their camera couldnt go through. Since it is our houses problem he demanded me to pay $350. I was too sad and scared from his rude manner and the 2 male plumbers presence, so I paid **** through ***** and got a receipt from ****. **** did not dare to put down the camera service and only wrote $350 for snaking the pipe. This is deceit, false representation, and broke verbal contract.
