MICHAEL HELLER AWARDED A TELLY
Oakland, California - (June 23, 2014) - The Telly Awards has named Produce 2 Broadcast (P2B) as a Bronze winner in the 35th Annual Telly Awards competition for the series titled UrbanPlan eLearning Video Series. With nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.
UrbanPlan eLearning Video Series is an extensive collection of 17 instructional videos with a unique approach to supplementing the curriculum in Economics and Government . This series, directed by Michael Heller. is a High School and University educational initiative of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). The Institute's goal is to grow an informed citizen base by raising the level of discourse among young citizens soon to be stakeholders in land use decisions.
In 2002, Michael Heller, produced a promo video using several Bay Area High Schools. Skeptics questioned whether high school students would be interested in land use decisions. Today UrbanPlan has reached over 26,000 high schools including Piedmont High, Berkeley High, Lowell High and 16 Universities are also running UrbanPlan in their Graduate MBA, City & Regional Planning and Architecture programs in academic year 2013/14.
