The company I worked for Juvo Austism and Behavioral Health which is now Center For Social Dynamics, I was a behavioral health technician for over a year, never was trained on how to work with aggressive clients there when I was given a client who I only worked with through zoom, but was put on the case for a month to support the client at school. Usually theres three providers on a case, behavioral tech like myself, a clinical directer, and a program supervisor, but this case only had one. During that week, the client had a tantrum, as I was attempting to calm them down, not being trained on where to stand with a client who engages in aggressive behavior, I was too close and the client bit my torso breaking skin. I wore a think sweater and layers too. T I went to the schools office to get help and I had to file the situation with the school since it happened on their grounds.On our badges in the back are numbers to call for emergencies and health advice like the situation I was in, but since the ************ had changed to the *** company, the numbers I called said they couldn't help me since they arent under Juvo anymore. So I had no one from my side of work to help me out. I did not know what to do as I've never been in this situation that was and still is traumatic for me. I reached out to my caseworker, but did not get a reply to much later in the day. I had to call ****** advice nurse on how to handle the situation. After a long drive back to my area since the sessions where in ************* and I live in ****** ****, I stopped at the ****** in Mountain View where I got a shot to protect myself since the client broke skin, and antibiotics. I had to cancel my afternoon session that day. After my boss finally reached out, I was never compensated for the costs of my health care, days off to recover, I worked the next day or two, and asked if I can't get support every session by someone than I want off the case so I got off and quit soon after.
