There was an issue with our solar array whereas we were making payments on our loan for the system, but the system was not operational. This was for 10 months. It was approved by management, but never acted on by them. I have placed calls just about every week for over a year. Spoke to a person named ******, he said he was looking into it and would get back to me, but now when I call in, I get dropped into their on hold que from h*** and offered to leave a message, but told Im first in que. Also they installed a Span panel which replaced the main breaker panel and separate the circuits so you can control the circuits you want to use when your power goes out. We needed instructions on how to use it and ****** **** he had gotten ahold of an electrician to come do the job and he would call back with the timing. No call back from him and I cant get ahold of him. I offered them the option of instead of the cash refund, to send us an Enphase 1500 Portable Unit that can be tied into our other batteries and then the electrian that would go over the Span panel with use could also install the Enphase 1500 Portable Unit. Seems more than reasonable. But first need to know if Green Home Systems is still in business. And two. For them to fullfill these two obligations. We would appreciate your assistance.

I have a contract for solar panels and batteries and it's been months now with a system that was incorrectly installed, failed city inspection and been unsuccessful reaching anyone to resolve this issue. The first problem was when the installer came out they decided that instead of doing panels on my ADU and main home they moved them all to the main home because it was cheaper and easier for the installer even though that is not what we originally agreed to. To avoid further conflict, we agreed. Then we failed the city inspection. Despite multiple site visits, our plans with the city were drawn up showing no windows on side of our house (we have windows) which would require a setback. The plans also showed a 3 foot setback between the batteries. The installer installed the batteries without the proper setbacks. And now, it is not able to be done on the side of our house due to not enough room because of setback requirements. Alternate solutions (such as moving back to using the **** have not been provided to us because it would be "too much work for the installer" and instead the only solution I have been given is reduce my battery size. I've asked about how the reduced battery will still service my home and told I'll have "more than enough" and be just fine. When I challenged them on this statement to provide me #s and facts, they could do justify how a 20 kwh battery will ensure I have enough power at night when I'm using ~50 kwh of usage. This was a new construction home and it's constantly overlooked by them that we have two homes on the property (3k sq ft house and 750 sq ft **** that requires power and was being built at the time we did this contract so we estimated usage. We now have actuals since we have been living in the home without any solar so we have a electric bill history to now show we use 50 kwh. I've been unsuccessful reaching anyone by phone email text voicemail and have unpowered panels sitting on my roof with no plan from GHS.

I am a service contractor that has been working with GreenHome for the past 2 years now. In 2024, I completed 5 service calls for them. They did not make these payments until months after the work was done, and made every excuse as why it wasn't getting paid out. I would go weeks and up to 6 months without any communication from their service team or anyone at the company (unless you wanted to purchase a new system, then they'll gladly take your call). After months of begging and complaining, they finally paid out these calls.Regrettably, I took on 5 more jobs this year and it is the same story as last year - no communication and no promise of payment after 4 months of constantly calling the service *** and manager. All I am asking for is a little communication and some transparency. The fact that they can't afford service calls to their contractors shows me that they are completely broke or are willingly not paying the guys who fix all of their issues. To any contractor who is contacted by Greenhome, I suggest you stay away unless you like working for free. Do not do business with this company!

I am submitting this complaint for my father ***** Date of transaction is last year amount of money $1000 *********** sold him a 5g upgrade for his solar panels *********** has yet to install the upgrade he purchased from them over a year ago. Attached is just some of the emails he has sent there are also many texts and phone calls that were made over the past year trying to get them to fulfill their end of the deal and install the upgrade. Now when he calls they don't even answer. I don't know what else to do for him the company doesn't seem to care anymore. Without this upgrade he can't monitor his solar panels and he lost months of production due to not being able to tell when the system goes down other than manually checking on it every day.

Purchased solar panels from *** in 2023. In December ****************************************************** my house. The electrician noted that the *** installation was subpar and possibly illegal. I contacted *** and asked for service call in December 2024. As of May 29, 2025 *** has not sent anyone to review the install. ****** *******, the *** agent assigned to this matter, does not return my calls or emails. I even found a *** approved technician to come to the house and resolve the issues. The technician contacted ****** for approval to visit my home and ****** did not respond to the request. Also, I was promised a refund of $454 from *** in November 2023. I have it in writing from one of their customer service ***** I have not received the refund as of May 29, 2025. I have emailed ****** ******* monthly since the refund was promised and every month he tells me that *** will pay the following month. I have finally given up on emailing about it and am filing this complaint.I have emailed their CEO about these issues and he does not respond to emails. I advise everyone reading this to avoid Green Home Systems. In my experience they are a disreputable company.

Green Home Systems installed 40K solar systems and Solar Edge Inverters, which are not dead.I've called, spoken to the front desk, and left voicemails upon voicemails, but no one has returned my calls. Here I am with a useless 40K solar at the beginning of summer. I need help resolving this; the equipment is under warranty

The company installed solar panels in October of 2020. The system has never worked. The cost was $89.400. The company does not return calls and apparently has moved their location. No effort has been made to resolve any issues.

Purchased solar and a backup batter from this company. The backup battery has never been installed correctly. I've tried to get the company out over the last year+. I've emailed consistently and called repeatedly. I constantly get that somebody will get back to me and never does. Finally got somebody and he came out to property in middle of rain storm. Couldn't assess situation this was a Friday. Said he will come back Monday. That was 2 months ago. Also, in September 2024, a solar panel blew off in wind storm. I texted them and called them immediately. They apologize and have not done anything about it. Finally, somebody came out February 15th, 2025 or so to assess issue. He said he had to come back to fix battery. Haven't heard anything since. Also, he took pictures of solar panel and again, I've heard nothing. Also, a year ago, my solar went down for 4 mos. It took that long to get somebody out here to fix it. Finally, after paying for the solar for 4 mos of not having it AND being charged by Southern California ****** for those 4 mos for their surcharge, this company refused to respond or refund me anything due to their lack of response. They are completely unprofessional. All their contractors quit on them cause they don't pay them. Numerous employees have said this to me. They can't keep anybody cause they treat them so poorly. I don't know what to do anymore. The better has been years and never been installed correctly. Been an issue since day one of installation. They need to come out and fix it and replace the solar panel that could've killed somebody that flew off my room and landed in my backyard (luckily) rather than hit somebody or their car or their house.

    Hi *******,

We have zero service tickets open for you in our CRM, not sure who you have been talking to?

The only ticket is a completed one from 2023. I attached the odf of that ticket that shows it was closed-completed.

I will now attach you to an email with my customer service manager so we can look at your entire array together.

I am rejecting this response because:

This is 100% false.  In fact, I spoke with ******, their manager at **************** who called me after this complaint was received, and he confirmed there is a ticket that has been open for 8 months.  There are still 2 major issues and he is well aware of them. He said he would email me details from the contractor yesterday but that was never received.  Also said he will follow up with a call to me on Friday to set up an electrician to come out.  And, the ticket from ************ well over $5000 and requests for refunds were never even acknowledged or replied to.  I have the email requests for proof if needed.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ****

On September 5, 2024, I made my first contact to customer service at *** about a problem I was having with my solar system. I had the ***************************** perform a diagnostic check on my system because it didn't seem to be performing at peak performance. The result of that diagnostic revealed that there was a problem within my system, and to reach out to these company (***) to get someone out to fix it. I sent *** a copy of the diagnostic report I received from ********** on September 5, 2024. In the 196 days that have passed, i have reached out via email 34 times. My system warranty explicitly explains that any system maintenance and repairs go through *** or else it would invalidate the warranty. I have tried calling **************** directly several times but never get anyone to answer. Email responses back to me number only 3 or 4 and all saying the same thing....they will try getting their technicians to me soon. I actually had a scheduled phone appointment (made by *** ***************** to try getting this rectified, but whoever was suppose to call me never did call. I purchased my system in 2018 when this company was called "Green Solar Technologies!" This is my 3rd time since purchasing my system at a cost of $58,000 before rebates where the response time for repairs is unacceptable. My 1st issue was the original inverter stopped working, and after reporting this problem, it took them about 3 months to my recollection to get their service technician here to replace the broken on. The 2nd incident involved a complete system shutdown, and for 9 MONTHS, I attempted to get my warranted system fixed. After 9 months I finally received authorization from *** to hire a local solar repair service to come and fix what ended up being 1 single connector that had burned out. And now, here I am again for a 3rd time asking only that timely repairs be made to my system. I see by other BBB complaints that I am not a Lone Wolf in this argument.

    ******,
Thank you for responding to me today with an explanation to me problem.

All I want and expect from *** customer service is good communications back and forth. Today, you were the first ****** to actually call and talk to me on the issue I thought was going on from the Solar Edge diagnostic. Being that I initially reached out initially back in September 2024, I feel strongly that it shouldn't take 7 months to respond with answers to the issues I thought were happeng. So I thank you ****** *******, for calling me earlier today and walking me through.
