I visited this dealership with the intention of buying an older truck for my husband. When my husband reached out to them 2 days before we agreed on a date and time to visit the dealer. When we arrived the seller was not prepared. We waited in the lobby for him to gas the truck and prepare it to view. After we test drove the car and told them we would think about and reach out at a later time. When I decided to buy it I contacted the dealership to start the approval process electronically. Since we live so far it was nice we had that option. I submitted and agreed ** to everything electronically and was contacted about needing a down payment. I voiced to the finance advisor we would be able to put that down and we agreed on the down payment and finalizing this deal. When I hung up with ******* , the finanace advisor, he said he would get back to me with the final step. During the conversation, ****** painted the picture we were moving forward. I agreed to him to run my credit because I was prepared to purchase the behicle. Since it was later in day I figured they were caught up with other sales. I reached out first thing in the morning and was told they sold the truck. I immediately expressed my anger and told ****** he did not have good business practices. I told him I would of never allowed him to run my credit ( especially since every credit pull effects your credit) if we were not serious. I feel like this is illegal for them to practice business this was and know there is something violated.Business Response

I am filing this complaint regarding a warranty I purchased through California Motor Trade at the time of my vehicle sale. After my vehicle was recently totaled, I contacted the dealership multiple times to request a prorated refund for the Auto Theft policy I am no longer receiving coverage for.The dealership has refused to issue a refund, stating the warranty is non-refundable. However, I was never provided with the terms and conditions for this policy at the time of sale. I have reviewed all documents I received, and the specific policy details were not included. As a consumer, I believe I was entitled to receive this information in order to make an informed purchase decision.Despite several attempts to resolve this matter directly, I have not received a meaningful response or any accountability. As a result, I am requesting the assistance of the BBB to help mediate a fair resolution.Desired Resolution:A prorated refund for the Auto Theft warranty, as the service is no longer applicable due to the vehicle being totaled.A formal acknowledgment that the terms and conditions were not disclosed at the time of sale.An assurance that California Motor Trade will review and improve their warranty disclosure practices to avoid similar issues in the future. If this issue remains unresolved, I will be exploring legal options.Business Response

**** didnt said that when I first went in. If he the car fax stated that the car had no issues and if the car is leaking oil that is an issue. I was never told that if I found an issue with the vehicle it wasnt going to be fix. He said they were responsible if I found any problem. So **** waited until the month passed so he could tell me that now its my problem, not very honest.Business Response

Bought a car from California motor trade a month ago. Drove it home first day and had warning lights for engine and tire pressure. Took it back to get fixed and they have kept it for over 3 weeks with no updates on the repair. Getting increasingly frustrated with their incompetence and really starting to wonder if I should just get a refund on this vehicle. Absolutely terrible customer serviceInitial Complaint

I purchased a 2020 **** fusion on December 23, 2023. The company claims they dont sell cars with salvage titles. I received a blue title and everything was fine until I started having issues with a noise coming from the engine. I decided to get it checked and contact **** dealership. Once they ran my vin number they let me know my car is actually a salvage vehicle and should have not been sold to me without my knowledge in that condition. I believe this purchase was fraudulentBusiness Response
Date: 04/02/2025
Good morning
We don't sell salvage cars client has a clean title in hand since 2023 now that the car is having mechanical errors car is salvage.
I don't mind stepping in speaking to the client showing that is not the case.
Client can call the dealership and ask for GM Alex
Not a fraudulent deal client is just having mechanical issues at the end of the day it is used car.

A modification to the stock stereo was agreed upon by both parties in order to complete the sale of the vehicle. The agreement between buyer and seller were as follows:Inspect the radio as the screen of the radio did not work.Replace the arm rest upholstery. Upon receipt of the vehicle after the vehicle was returned from repairs it was found that the bezel around the radio was scratched and broken. An attempt to repair the defect was made by the installer. The radio also was not of equal quality of the stock original radio rendering many of the features useless. Upon inspection of the exterior of the vehicle it was discovered that the passenger tail light and trunk lid passenger taillight were broken. The trunk lid taillight was cracked in the corner on the right hand side and the passenger taillight was broken at the tab which holds the light flush to the vehicle. This can cause water to enter the trunk area and cause further damage in the future. The upholstery was completed without issue. As per the contract agreement upon purchase an attempt to contact the seller was made without success to rectify the issue. The negligence of the initial repair and treatment of personal property has caused me to make the repairs through alternative avenues.Business Response

On 04-21-2024 I purchased an acura Ilx from this dealership. Part of the contract said the car includes floor mats and a tire repair kit - these items were supposed to be sent in the mail. I have made numerous attempts to contact them but they have never sent me these items. I believe this is a breach of contract.Business Response

Good Morning,
Client is a sub prime lender deal and drove the car for 2 months without allowing deal to fund and dealership to get paid.
She provided fake stubs and info to obtain loan then drove car without insurance and put deal and car in danger.
Finally we were able to get client here to dealership to complete funding process but at this time car had been on the road 86 days and bank wanted to short fund.
We tried to explain to client you cant drive a car for almost 3 months and not pay but she seemed to not understand also causing a seen multiple times here.
Client came yesterday and settled here debt and picked up her car.
Shame a client can cause so much chaos and leave a bad review on us.

I bought a vehicle (VW Jetta 2021) from California Motor Trade Norco Showroom on 12/17/2023. After two months of waiting for my DMV registration and plates and I decided to call California Motor Trade to find out if they had an update.I called them on February 27th and they said they would call back, no one did so I called again and the person who could help me was out. I called again the following day and the person **** was in a meeting so they gave me a number of their titles department. I called their titles department and they said the person who could help me was out and they would call me back, no one did so I called again and the person was busy.So I called California Motor trade Norco again on February 29 and the same thing all over again. I told them I wasn't going to call again.I temporary registration expired on March 15, I went to DMV and DMV said that the dealership had not completed the application so there is nothing they could do.I reached out to California Motor Trade and told them I can no longer legally drive the vehicle I bought from them because they have refused to complete the registration process. They said they would call me and sort it out and as of today (March 19) no one has called me and I am unable to drive my only vehicle. This is causing me financial loss and a lot of stress. I would like the dealership to take their vehicle back and issue me a full refund.Business Response

Hi There
Looks like a Dmv reg issue i will reach out to client and see how we can solve this.
Customer Answer
Date: 03/25/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
They've been saying this for two months and they never reach out either. When I called them after my temporary registration had expired they said they would call me back on the same day and I haven't received a call to date.
Them saying they'll get back to me is a lie and it's also a lie that it's a DMV issue because I was at DMV and they said the dealership had not even completed the registration yet.
I should point out that I am incurring financial losses due to not being able to drive my only vehicle and I plan on using them if there next response here is unsatisfactory or not timely.
