My wife and I are hoping you can help us with an ongoing problem with a local solar company. Here is the back story to bring you up to date with the problem we are having. On 2/12/23 we signed a contract with Devine Solar Solutions located in ****, **. We were installing solar for our apartment over our garage, with a cost of $19,500. We already have panels for our home on separate meter, which are located on the roof of the apartment since at the time it was the best location for maximum exposure. With the addition of solar for the apartment, which has a separate address and electrical meter, the panels needed to be installed on the main house per local code. Here is where the problem started. The solar company used the incorrect number and address for the PG&E meter on the apartment. It was kicked back multiple times from PG&E for NEMS 2.0 solar approval, because their records showed solar was already installed with that meter number and address. We have been on the phone with the solar company and PG&E for over a year and we are still without solar power for the apartment. After multiple on-going follow-up contacts with the company representative and the company owner, they report that PG&E will not approve on their end for some reason which is still unclear to us. We are at a standstill and losing money every day on the solar energy being collected but not benefiting the property. We have lost approximately $1300 in solar savings (the bill is an avg. of $85 per month). Additionally, we have just filed a complaint with the ******************** regarding this matter. Our research into Devine Solar Solutions indicates we are one of several customers who are or have experienced this same issue. We are asking that you contact the business and assist us to hold the company accountable for resolving this issue with PG&E.Initial Complaint

Our solar has been installed for 6 months and paid 95%. Unfortunetly, it appearsDevine solar has not paid their supplier, ********************** for $21,000 of solar panels, which we paid them for, and we are being served for their non payment. Their project manager is very nice and continues to work on the completion of PTO for our project but we are very concerned this this company continues to take on new business and act like everything is OK but has not paid a supplier on our behalf. Per the contact, the lien should have been lifted when payments were made.Initial Complaint

I hired Devine Solar Solution to install solar panels and a battery at my property. The contract was signed in March ****************************************** May 2023. Due to their negligence and submitting wrong information to PG&E, I didn't get the permission to turn on the solar system till November. I found out that the battery was not operating after I turned on the system. I contacted Devine Solar Solution to check and service the battery and they did not respond at all. I finally hired another solar company and spent $570 for them to fix the battery. They found that the battery setting was faulty and they were able to make the battery work. Basically, they abandon the contract agreement and I will also lose all the warranty from them. Consumers should be warned against using this company. They were incompetent, no communicative and unresponsive.Initial Complaint

Contract was signed in July 2022 with Devine Solar Solutions for a 39 solar panel system. In April 2023, there was a fire in the newly installed main panel causing safety issues and the system to fault to no solar production. We have been in contact with *****************************/CEO to fix and resolve issues to no avail. The warranty for the electrical panel has been nulled due to this solar installer's handling of panel, and we are only producing half of what was contractually guaranteed for over a year now. We are not only paying the loan for the solar system, but we are also paying PG&E, for an issue that was entirely out of our hands.Initial Complaint

This has been by far the WORST company to go with for solar. We went with Devine Solar being sold that the company strives to meet their customers' needs & satisfaction and since they're a small business they can focus on each customer/project. I can assure you, in these 14 months of being in contract with Devine Solar, that has not been the case. As they advertise about being responsive in a couple of hours - that's false. As they advertise about finishing a project in 2-4 weeks - that's also false. It took 10 months to get PTO, from when we got our panels installed and this was all due to my husband and I having to CONSTANTLY reach out to Devine, PG&E, NEM, and whoever else was involved in this entire process. There was ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS something wrong before we could get PTO.It took 18 months from when we signed our contract, to get to where we are - and we're still having to wait 1-2 days to see production on our app (which we didn't know the panels were supposedly already producing - but who cares, it's winter time, this is the worst time for production in ******** ANDDDD no one told us anything about production or how the app isn't capturing production but it's actually producing - like how TF are we supposed to know that when the app is just telling me there's communication issues). This shows you Devine's lack of professionalism, lack of customer service, not taking accountability for being irresponsive, lack of transparency, and complete negligence! We've gone through *****, *****, *****, and *******. ***** has stopped responding to us; ***** who I still don't even know what he was supposed to do; ***** did not have a clue what was going on with our Project; and *******, seemingly to only be responsive when we send angry text messages. This has been such a frustrating experience and I WOULD NEVERRRR want anyone to go through this. LOOK ELSEWHERE, because Devine isn't it.Initial Complaint

Devine Solar took a $1000 refundable deposit that they were to return after the job was done and paid for. The job was completed earlier this year and fully paid. I have followed up with them to get my deposit returned several times. They have been promising it's on its way for five months, but keep coming up with excuses when it does not arrive. This company is taking "refundable" deposits, never intending to return them.Business Response

I have spoken to ************************* and we are getting a check in the mail for him today for his reimbursement. It was my understanding that our finance department had mailed out a check already but it appears it was never received. We never had intentions of keeping a customers deposit and are making this right with the customer. Were sorry for the confusion and the delays on our end.
