    We met with **** ******* in April 2025. We hired him to oversee our extension. He is very smooth. He asked for a deposit of ******* dollars and got started with drafts for our extension. Every single draft was incorrect. The bill was also never correct . He would promise a correction and would send the incorrect one. We finally agreed on a plan. He said he would turn it in and let us know. After a month I called him again. He is always in his car headed to an appointment. He finally called back and said the plans had been turned down. He would get back to me in a few hours with a revision. After a few days he sent one of the old drafts we had turned down. I left him a message and nothing. I finally called and visited the City Planners office and they informed me that nothing had been turned in. He has nothing had been submitted. He lied. I texted him and informed him that the jig was up. I demanded my money back. He had done nothing he should be paid nothing. He texted me back saying he would call me. I have received nothing. Radio. Silence.

    SUBJECT: WORK REPORT AND PROJECT DOCUMENTATION
    PROJECT: ****************************************

    Dear Better Business Bureau, 
    Through this letter, we inform you of the work carried out and the status of the project located at ****************************************, wich was received on April 14, 2025, and for wich a new 11'x81 one-story addition was requested.
    From the beginning, we explained that, in accordance with the requirements of the ******************, it was necessary to submit a Preliminary Revie in order to obtain the corresponding authorization before proceeding with the full plan package.

    1.- Appoiments and progress with the City oh **********

    - First appoiment: On May 27, 2025, we attended the fisrt appoiment with the city, where we were assigned ticket number B347.
    During this meeting, the city staff indicated thet they could not approve the requested addition design but proposed the following alternatives:
    1. Reduce the size of the addition while maintaining the parking space.
    2. Convert the existing garage into a secondary unit (ADU).
    3. We subsequently returned to present these options to you; however, you did not agree with the proposede alternatives.
    4. We then developed new proposals with additions of different sizes, but once again, they did not align with your expectations.
    5.Second appoiment: we attended the city again these proposals. On this occasion, we were asked for additional conditions to evaluate whether it was posible authorize the original design, even though it had already been previously observed.
    6. Full architectural package: Despite the above, the necessary time was invested in designing a complete 9-sheet architectural package in order to present it at a third appoiment and exhaust all possibilities wich the city.

    2.- Contract and payment details

    The project has a signed contract that stablishes the payment terms and service condtions.
    We received the first payment corresponding to: 
    ''1. installment for retainer and to initiate field measuring investigation documenting site for design and permit processing (FIRST PAYMENT)............. $3,000.00

    The contract explicitly states, both verbally and in writing, that:
    -There are no refunds once the contracted work has been completed.
    -If the corresponding city does not approve the project, it is not the responsability of the designer or the company, as the final decision regarding codes and structures rest exclusively with the city:

    3.- Attached documentation

    The following evidence of the work perfomed is attached in PDF format:
    1.Signed contract.
    2.Proof of initial payment.
    3.Appoiment application with the City of ***********
    4.Drawing No. 1 (original proposal by the client)
    5.Corrections request by the city.
    6.Follow-up emails regarding th project.

    4.- Final remarks

    It is important to highlight that much more work than originally requested han been carried out on this project, incluiding multiple proposal, city reviews and the preparation of a complete architectural package.

    I am rejecting this response because:  We were sent three different contracts by text with different totals.  We did not sign a contract.  I would also like to see some proof that he ever submitted plans  and that they were turned down.  Again we have no proof that it was ever done.  We went to the City Planners  office and they have no record of anything being turned in or rejected.   As of June 16 2025 nothing has been filed.   He has wasted my time and added to my stress.  He has done this to  other people.   

    All of his apologies were done by phone.

    Our project started July 9th, 2021 with California ADU Center **** The contract was to build our home and our backyard. So far we have given, *********************** a total of $225,226.00. We paid for our permits of $11,417.43 and a temporary power poll of $1,000. Which was all suppose to be included in our initial contract. 2 years later our home nor our yard has been built. We were displaced from our home and our home was demolished with the intensions that construction was beginning and permits were going to be ready and taken care of by *********************** with California ADU Center **** By the amount of money given to *****, he has violated our contract by not fulling the time line. We have tried multiple times to meet and address our concerns with him and our calls or text messages are never answered or ignored. The one time we did meet in August of 2022, he told ** that he had no more money to continue our project and that if we tried to *** him, all he was going to do was file for bankruptcy. On numerous occasions we have asked for his License number and he never gave us that requirement. We would like to have our job finish and seek legal justice plus a compensations for damages. We currently live in a 150 square foot room paying $700 a month for rent. This is causing a lot of distress not only to ourselves but to our 3 children.
