Flat Roof Pros did my roof a few years ago and we had multiple issues as soon as they "finished" the job. The roofing material they did our flat roof with was cracked everywhere and leaking immediately after they did the job. We have a 20 year contract/warranty with them but they haven't been responding to multiple attempts to have them come fix the leak in the last year. The leak we had before we hired them to redo our entire roof was still. It took months of calling, emailing, and even showing up at their office to get anyone to respond to come back out to repair the leak. When they finally came out we asked about the cracks thinking that was not normal and they said as long as it wasn't leaking it was fine. They patched the leaking area and left, however it still leaked AGAIN and in the months it took us to get them back out for a second patch a new leak sprung up and started leaking into our house. This time when they finally returned they patched both leaks, however only one is fixed and the second newer leak is still leaking into our house. I called and emailed for months again with no response and recently found that the owner has moved out of state and it appears Flat Roof Pros is no longer in business even though their site is up and running. So after years of terrible service and a crappy roof job and thousands of dollars, I'm stuck with a cracked and leaking roof with buckets inside my house to catch the water.According to BBB, Flat Roof Pros alternate business name is Roofchecks.com. I contacted them and found the owner is Flat Roof Pros' brother and the two companies used to be affiliated, however Roofchecks.com also doesn't honor Flat Roof Pros contracts and also doesn't repair flat roofs. In speaking to a third non-affiliated roofing company, they are questioning whether Flat Roof Pros even used the materials as stated in our contract. They think they may have used a discontinued and defective product instead of the one listed in our contract.

The property address is ************************************************************. I initiated contact with Flat Roof Pros in October 2021. The house was occupied by a tenant at the time. (Our family moved into the property in 2022.)In October 2021, I contacted Flat Roof Pros after hearing from the tenant that there was a leak in the roof along a garage wall. I found Flat Roof Pros on the internet and was contacted by *************************** *************), who apparently is the owner. Upon inspection, **** told me the entire flat portion of the roof (original house is comp shingle) needed to be replaced, which included the area above the garage, as well as a single-room addition and patio cover at the rear of the house. I approved the bid, which was $4,500. They did the work and I paid by credit card. In writing, I was told there was a 20-year warranty on the workmanship and 25-year warranty on the sealant.Last fall (2022) the leak on the garage began leaking again. After numerous phone calls to their office, they eventually came out and repaired the leak. After a month or so, it began leaking again. In the meantime, additional leaks had developed in the v-rustic roof sheeting along the back of the house, causing dry rot in the sheeting. After many more phone calls a FRP rep ******* came out to inspect. ***** said the job which FRP had done over the garage was incorrect, and that the company should have installed a different type of roof, rather than simply re-coating it. I was sent an estimate to rebuild the roof over the garage of $3,500 ($5,850 w/a $2,300 discount). He did not address the v-rustic sheeting. Since then, I have made numerous calls (leaving msgs) to the office. I've left texts and messages with ****. I've had no response. For the last week, they haven't even answered the phone. I obtained a second opinion from a roofing contractor who said the workmanship was very poor and the entire flat portion of the roof needed to be redone.

My roof was reroofed in April of 2021 I believe with a 2yr warranty. I have been calling them about leaks for 3 months. 2 weeks ago my master bedroom ceiling opened up to a flood on my new carpet. I have called 25 times with no response. I have pictures and other contractors that support unprofessional complete roofing job, and they wont return my calls.

********** billed me for a job that I never scheduled with them and they never did, or if they did, it was after I told them I had changed my mind, so without my consent. This estimate for $633, (saying that they did the work on 6/17/22) was from the roof inspection dated 3/12/22, report #***************, which I had done when I bought this house in March. I contacted them recently to get the work done, and signed the estimate, but then, the dates they were available to do it didn't work for me and so I found another guy who could do it when I was in town and available. He was also cheaper. I spoke with **** about all this in detail and he assured me I was not obligated with them. He understood that I'd decided against getting it done and that if/when I do, there was another guy I might go with. I also explained that some other more urgent home repair expenses had come up that are making me have to postpone on the roof, so I'm not able to afford to do it now anyway. He assured me in writing (text) that I wasn't obligated to move forward on it with them just because I signed the estimate. They're now billing me saying they did the work on 6/17/22, but I never scheduled that, and wasn't even at home on that day. I also dug up some terrible reviews on them after having contacted them to get the work done, from when they were doing business as Flat Roof Pros. ("This place is a fraud! Beware! The office doesn't speak to their estimators and are trying to threaten to lien our property because they performed work without a signed contract. They are also trying to double charge us. I have requested to speak to their owner and our estimator *** and have been having our calls dodged. I guess they can threaten us and we will meet face to face in small claims court. RUN the other way from this shady business!")
