    I requested that Social Catfish remove my personal information which it is publicly displaying. I made this request by following the prompts in their website. No one responded to my request. I would like for Social Catfish to remove all of my information associated with ********************************************************************* and to stop making it available for the public. I am a survivor of abuse and do not want any of my information made available to the public.

    The ****'s right to delete, also known as the right to erasure, allows California residents to request that businesses delete their personal information. Businesses must comply with these requests. Submitted a **** Privacy Requests Form to opt-out and request for deletion on 6/11/2025 however they have yet to acquiesce with the request. Emailed the privacy team on 6/11/2025 and 6/22/2025 but have yet to receive a follow up within the 10 days of the submission. The absence of a follow-up email and non-responsiveness by the business is a significant concern. Thus requiring attention as our privacy is important to us. Despite concerted efforts to prevent future sharing of my mothers information, the additional file/profile have not been deleted and/or removed. Implementing an opt-out process should not create increased difficulty for consumers who wish to submit a request to opt-out of the sale of their data. This is a core principle in data privacy laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Privacy laws aim to empower consumers by giving them control over their personal information. The sharing of information poses significant safety and privacy concerns leaving individuals vulnerable to exploitation and misuse of the data collected and sold. The potential consequences are the increased risk of fraud, identity theft and threats to personal safety. For the BBB reference, I have attached a new screenshot taken on 6/11/2025 along with the url link directing the business to my mothers information. This is also a formal notice to Social Catfish that they stop collecting, selling, and sharing such personal information. ****************************************************************

    This company is displaying profiles with my personal information and I would like them removed. I have attempted to use their opt-out tool, and sent multiple email requests asking for these profiles to be removed (the earliest being March 1). However, the company has not responded, and the profiles remain.

    I would like the profiles removed and my information opted out of any further profiles on your site. See the attached document for links to the profiles I want removed. I found these by searching for my name and a username I have commonly used. The profiles match my name and age, as well as that username.

    Inevitably they will respond with some line that "the BBB is not a recognized platform for data removal", but their own provided tool rarely works and blacklists masked emails for those who want privacy.

    I provided the URLs to the business. They both have the same name, age, and reference to a username. As I mentioned, these both match my information. I'm looking at my current and past addresses on them. I've already done the work of identifying my information on your site, now your task is to remove it. You don't need additional information if a person sends you a URL and says, "this is me, take this down please."

    It seems they have already removed one of the profiles in the meantime; I'll be curious to see if the other is taken down.

    After repeated requests for this website to remove my name from their website (link below) they refuse to do so. They've now taken to closing tickets claiming that I "didn't respond," which is an outright lie. The reality is they don't want to expend the time or resources to remove information manually, information that isn't removed when using their opt-out form. Instead I'm repeatedly directed to using the opt-out form which doesn't work in this scenario. I've explained all of this to them, they just refuse to take any culpability.

Based on the information that you submitted, your information has already been removed from our website. We cannot remove everyone with your name. If you look yourself up, there is no information about you. Additionally, you refuse to use our opt out form (which is required by state law). We are not seeing the record that you had submitted that had your name. We want to work with you to resolve this. We just need some additional information. Thank you for understanding.

    As a resident of **********, I am requesting a "Right to Deletion of ************** from SocialCatFish and their subsidiaries. SocialCatFish not sell my personal information in accordance with applicable state laws due to privacy concerns and potential identity theft. The Delete Act is a data privacy law that allows consumers to request the deletion of their personal information from data brokers. Thus, I do not consent and/or authorize this people search engine from retaining, publishing, brokering and profiting off my information. Inclusive of my email ************************* please remove all subject matter, reports, profiles, contact information and data. My information is being sold for a subtotal of $5.73.     ************************** refuses to remove my personal information from their site. On Jan 30, I completed the Request to Opt Out form on their site. I completed the Request for Deletion form. Over the past several weeks, I have repeatedly contacted Social Catfish via their website forms, email, and phone trying to get help with my request. I emailed **************** at *********************************** I emailed the Data Privacy Team at ******************************************* I called **************** at ************. I have received no help. Just confusing replies saying I reached the wrong department. Or, autoreply emails saying that my privacy request is under review because I have been erroneously identified as a third-party data company. I am not a company. I am a private citizen seeking to remove my personal information from **************************, which is my right by Colorado law. I demand that my information be removed immediately from these two pages of the site.     Site publicly displays my personal information along with immediate family members. I submitted an opt out request with the listing still available.     I was able to locate your request and see that the data removal was successful. Our team replied to your request confirming removal on December 1st. The *** provided does not have any information. You'll find that when clicking the link, you will be directed to a "No Results" page. This is an indication that while the link once had information, the record has already been removed. 

    If you believe we missed something, please reply to the Data Privacy team directly with the active url and they can proceed from there. If you are under the impression we have your information based on a third party's report (or screenshot), you may want to confirm if they are holding onto outdated records of yours in their system.

    social catfish is illegally and unethically obtaining my data without my consent or knowledge, endangering my family and my life safety, and committing slander and libel by falsely claiming on their website that i have untoward activity in society which i do not. social catfish is endangering my ability to put a roof over my head and damaging me as a disabled veteran and person in the community. they are slandering me as a disabled person and veteran and refusing to remove my name number emails address and locations from their evil website. i'm a disabled person and veteran and your website contains false slanderous and libel information which you are profiting off my demise and endangering my safety and my families life safety!! stop or and remove it! you've been reported to the CA and FL attorney generals offices and the federal trade commission! remove all my data now as requested from the states of florida and maryland!

    Indecided to use Social Catfish to perform a reverse image search and find someone. After paying, I uploaded the photo, and the first search returned over 300 results, but I didnt find anything relevant. I tried uploading the photo again, and this time it gave me 75 results, but still nothingjust images of celebrities and random people who didnt match my friend.When I called customer service, they told me they couldnt issue a refund, claiming the person I was searching for might not have any open social media profiles. I explained to the representative that I had already found my friend instantly on PimEyes and FaceCheckID. In response, the Social Catfish representative hung up on **** demand a refund for false advertising and failure to deliver the promised service. I have proof that I found my friend using the other two platforms, but not through Social Catfish. The service only provided a large number of irrelevant images, including photos of celebrities, and did not conduct a proper reverse image search. Additionally, I have proof in the downloaded images here ************ has a lack of transparency and who knows how long they have been doing this this to other people I want my money back and I wont stop until I get it false advertisement from this company
