Move IT Already “Moving Company” was hired to move a Baby Grand Piano on 1/27/23 as a residential move. They showed up not equipped with enough moving pads to cover the entire piano. We gave them towels and cardboard to use with cellophane wrap as a substitute to cover the remaining exposed portions of the piano.
When the piano arrived at the new location there was never a complete receiving inspection performed by the movers with the customer. They left the home promptly then moments later when I was inspecting the piano I noticed that the Move It Already movers had damaged the left end of the keyboard. I contacted them while they were driving back on the road and told them they damaged the piano during the move. They stated that they could come back at a later time to pick-up the piano and move again to a repair shop then move it another time back to the residential home after the repair was made. Additional moving of the piano was not an option based on their moving performance damaging the piano on the first move. After further discussion we verbally agreed that Move It Already would arrange to hire a piano repair service to come and do an in-house repair. This was on 27th of January. Over the next three months there has been many phone calls made to Move It Already to get an update from them on when we could expect the repairs to be made. They always had some passive plan but never any specific action plan to get the repair done. My last contact attempt was a voice mail made on 3/29/23 and they did not return my call. It has reached a point where they are not responding to phone calls, voicemails or texts messages.

    Resolution:
To resolve this respectively I would expect a 100% refund or the cost of the repairs estimating $750 to be paid to the piano owner. Cost repair estimates were from a music store in the San Fernando Valley area by reviewing a photo of the damage.

As a Note: I held my end of the deal by paying $700 plus $200 tip for the move.
