This company ruined my very expensive large wool area rugs!I received a coupon in ValuePak through the mail and I thought, why not??It was ChemDry so I felt good about it because I have used another ChemDry before. However, when they left, my rugs were warped, soaking wet and my house smelled so bad that I had to sleep elsewhere because the smell was burning my eyes. They told me to put weights on the warps and turn the heat and fans on. They did the job January 3rd. Today January 12th the warps are worse and my rugs smell like mold. I tried to resolve the problem with the company days ago. They offered me $300 back out of the thousand I paid them and when I said absolutely not, they said "they did their job and can't predict how their chemicals will react with pet urine" and then hung up on me. By the way they upcharged me $560 for pet urine treatment that they recommended. On top of that, I watched my surveillance and saw their employee washing his hair and face in my kitchen sink. Followed up by him using my dish towel to try his hair and face off. I have pictures and video. I am disputing the charges.

I called your company and was told I would be charged $140.00 for three rooms. Your sales person/technician arrived and talked and talked and told me what a good deal he was giving me because there were small drops of blood in a couple of areas. I live in a 55+ community and I was vulnerable because I was upset about the blood. My husband had fallen the day before. You overcharged me $850.00 and every stain came back up after a couple of hours of drying, including traffic areas. A residue was left, as well. The carpet looked terrible! The carpet is no more than 6 months old and he didn't even get the simple dirt out. I checked your reviews and saw that people who called back were put off and delayed over and over again. Rather than deal with this same person that took advantage of my situation, I called another local carpet cleaner who re-cleaned the carpets and charged me only $160.00. He spent more time and cleaned the rugs beautifully. The stains are now gone and no residue. I will never use your company again. I am reporting this to the better business bureau.

Hello *****. Your review is far from the truth and you didn't even offer us the opportunity to correct any issues or concerns. Over the phone, you did not mention any blood removal, nor can we visually see any of your concerns or carpets condition. We only offer ballpark estimates over the phone not exact prices and if information is left off or we are not made aware, it is very hard to offer you an accurate ballpark estimate over the phone. We always strive to be our best and provide the best service possible to our customers. We always offer a free, no obligation, on-site evaluation & estimate prior to staring any work at all. We did not force our services upon you. We simply offered a custom quote based on your concerns and what was needed. Your carpet was in pretty bad condition for only being 6 months old and our guys really took their time to try their best to resolve all concerns for you including blood removal which was not just a few spots. We even back our work with a 30 day guarantee you could have utilized our guarantee, but did not. We by no means took advantage of the situation and that is a very false comment to make. We offered you an on-site estimate and you at your own will decided to proceed with the work. Unfortunately, we are not a small fly by night company and we follow standards and protocols to keep everyone safe. We are certified with the carpet and rug institute IICRC. We carrier all insurance coverages and our products can not be purchased at a janitorial store as they are exclusive to only Chem-Dry. Our prices may not be the cheapest, they are not the highest either, but we truly believe we are the best and have the best products. Our products do not leave any residues behind so that was another false statement. Blood is considered a hazardous waste. It needs to be properly disposed of and treated. It also needs specialty stain removal techniques. If another carpet cleaner charged you less, it was because we had already cleaned up 99% of the blood very well except for the few spots resurfacing as you stated in your review. Blood removal is not the same price as regular carpet cleaning. Properly certified carpet cleaners know this and the proper ways to treat blood. We would of however came back out and redone those areas for you that you were unhappy with, free of charge. You paid another $160 for someone else to clean carpet that was already cleaned. It was just a few spots we needed to retreat which would would have done for you no problem at all. We really wished you would of gave us the opportunity to fix things for you instead making false comments out of buyers remorse.

First of all, the carpets were not in bad condition. When I called, I only had some light tracking in one room from the hall to bathroom and it was not bad. We do not wear shoes in the house, ever. I did not have any blood on the carpet when I originally called. My husband had fallen the night before you came out. I expected there would be a bigger charge, but $860! They were minor drops, not a big stain. One guy came out, not a team. As I said, I was vulnerable and upset and I do feel the price was completely taking advantage. After seeing the carpet dry, it looked worse. I was uncomfortable with your technician and after reading other reviews about your service I decided not to put myself through that stress. As far as the other company coming out. They did not just work on the spots. Even the tracking areas were still there. They told me there was a residue left on the carpet and they cleaned the entire rug again. As far as your prices, your girl said it was $40.00 per room on the phone. Your technician said that was not correct, it would be $300.00 without the stains (Who is far from the truth?). After talking in circles, he convinced me that he was giving me a discount and a good deal. I have photos but didn't see any place to upload them. I'm not going to argue any further. Yes, I do have buyers remorse. I have never met anyone that paid $860 for carpet cleaning for two rooms. I was vulnerable and upset and your technician knew it.
