    -Vehicle originally went into mechanic's custody Oct 2021. Filed with the BBB Oct 2023 but picked up the car Nov. 2023 so I had cancelled the original complaint. Vehicle broke down on the way home. Vehicle has now been back again with said mechanic since Nov. 2023. As of now, mechanic has had the vehicle for over 3 years. At one point, mechanic had switched locations without mentioning. I had to go ask a few shops to try to find out where my car is currently. -Mechanic has never provided an invoice or any receipts. I have asked for them. Mechanic continually says that the vehicle will be done soon. 2 weeks is a common phrase. Mechanic has stated he needs to finish other cars first, which to me is peculiar because he has had my vehicle for over 3 years. Mechanic at times will not respond when I reach out, sometimes for a very long time. I live 3 hours away so it is hard to just go in person. -Ultimately, mechanic is nice and cordial when we actually do speak. My issue is that that is few and far between. Mechanic does take good care of the vehicle. The few times that I have visited the shop as well as the few hours that I had the car back Nov 2023, the car was preserved and kept in very good condition.-Bottom line and main issue... mechanic has said more than a few times that the car will be ready- this has carried out for more than 3 years. I have offered more money as well as offered to find parts. I am always told no and that the vehicle will be ready. I just would love to know what is actually going on with the car to include invoices and receipts. Again, I have received none of those. Said mechanic's name is ***** ********.I greatly appreciate y'all's time and consideration.
