Car is continuously overheating and under a full extended warranty. Subaru of Modesto is trying to charge me for diagnostics for the same concern over and over again. The car is barely derivable and wont exceed 3k rpm due to overheating issue. Subaru of Modesto is claiming they cannot duplicate the issue.Business response

I hope this communication provides clarity regarding the concerns raised by Mr. ********************* about his 2016 Subaru WRX, VIN# *****************, and the issue of overheating that he reported.
At Modesto Subaru, we take all customer complaints seriously and are committed to delivering exceptional service. In response to ******************** concern, we have performed an extensive road test and a thorough examination of the vehicle.Our findings are as follows:
- The check engine light was not illuminated during our evaluation nor was there any indication of prior or current overheating conditions stored in the vehicle diagnostic system .
- Test driving did not reveal any loss of power on acceleration or an indication of an overheating condition.
- The vehicle did not overheat during the 119 mile test drive by the technician, and the coolant level was found to be full in both the radiator and expansion tank.
- We verified that the cooling fans cycled properly, and there was no air present in the cooling system.
- A pressure test of the cooling system was conducted up to 16 lbs, and the system held the pressure.
- Inspection of the underside of the engine revealed no signs of coolant leaks.
To further investigate the health of the engine and check for any head gasket issues, ************** recommended a leak-down and compression test. However, this recommendation was declined by ****************. As a result, we were unable to provide a definite answer on the engine's health, as there were no conclusive signs of a head gasket leak.Additionally, it is important to note that the customer's extended service contract company, Endurance Extended Warranty, will only review the coverage of a failed component but will not pay to diagnose a failure that is not apparent or recordable.
**************** has also chosen to contact the ****** of ********** Repair (B.A.R.) to investigate his complaint. *** has also agreed with Modesto Subaru any further diagnosis or investigation for a failed part will require **************** to authorize the further diagnostic steps recommended by the technician.
